If you're talking about the 2 little screws that are at the bottom of the pole then no. Those are the screws that change your pole from static to spinney. You need to check the big adjustor rod that you tightened to adjust the length of your pole when you first put it up. It's also good to take a look a the joints too.

Yeah try using a grip aid that is for Increasing grip not impeding sweat. I like Lubriderm lotion (the night before I pole) and Cramers works too if you want super grip. If it's sweat that is the problem then try having a fan in the room.
Also try steam cleaning the pole. I do this every once in a while, you don't need to do it all the time, but it removes build up. I find grip aids leave junk behind and the fabric steamer takes it all away. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Pole Dancing in sensual or sexual way is different than stripping though. Stripping is taking off clothing.
I love the sexy side of pole dance and I was attracted to that as well. If you are looking for sexy videos try looking here! We have had several Monthly challenges where sexy was the goal.
Purely gymnastics style pole isn't fulfilling for me. I love artist pole and to me sometimes art is sensual or erotic!
This is one of my favorites I've ever done. https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/4e4acc99-7194-4ac3-89e1-6bf90ac37250

Hmmm, is an old style xpole top loading? If so did you forget to screw the locking bolt down?

My kids are 11, 10, 7 (in a few days), and 4. I pole in the morning, I just don't have the energy to pole at night! If I get a chance to pole here is my schedule,
Everyone has breakfast (me too)
Older kids get ready for school
I clean up dishes, make beds, get school work together, start some laundry.
Kids leave for school, Henry gets dressed. We hang out for a bit.
Snack time, for both of us.
Workout time for me!! TV time for Henry or sometimes get him to play alone.
When I'm done it's about time for lunch!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I have a protein shake and Henry has lunch, I'll eat an hour or 2 later.
I dance around my kids often and we even dance together! But I've made it clear that my workout time weather its pole or hooping, is mommies time. So they have learned to let me be…for the most part. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I love our poling and hooping time together though!

Soooo many of us hold our body fat in that area and its totally normal. Unless you're going to be in a figure competition I wouldn't stress about it too much. My pooch comes and goes, depending on what I'm eating and if I am working my abdominals. After having kids my abs are always the first thing to go when I don't exercise. Upper abs always stay around but the pooch likes to appear! It takes a strict diet and workout schedule to have really flat abs.
Anyway…the transverse abdominal help archive the flat look. These muscle are like a girdle or should I say like spanks. lol I have a lot of exercises in the lessons that focus on proper abdominal engagement and doing them properly really will help. But don't forget about diet it makes a big difference.
Here an 8 minute core routine that you may find helpful. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/50bf696c-332c-43be-8cce-433a0ac37250

Runemist, if your shoulders are so weak that you cannot do a reverse handstand against a pole, you should not be inverting. I would suggest you strengthen the upper body before moving on to any inverted work. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

Try cleaning it with a fabric steamer to get all of the manufacturing junk off. It works really well. You MUST put the pole under a stud/joist. Alcohol will not hurt your pole, windex will not harm it either. Some ppl have issues with windex on their skin though.

Itac is not for sweaty hands, try mighty grip or dry hands. You may want to try the might grip gloves too, just get the ones that do NOT have tack on them.
