Dancing In Heels: Welcome & Day 1 [FREE]

Ask Veena About This Tutorial

Welcome to my How to Dance in Heels program! The first 2 weeks are beginner level 2 friendly, but after that we’ll begin to work on tracing and edge work, which requires a good deal of upper body strength. Make sure you’ve completed my beginner level 2 program before working on this one.

Pro tip: This program will cover the following:

  • Street heels versus pole heels
  • What kind of heels to wear for pole dance
  • Foot and ankle strength
  • Balance
  • Walking in heels
  • How to do static spins in heels
  • How to invert in heels
  • How to get up and down
  • Heel edge work
  • Heel tracing
  • Floppy ankles, clacks, and bangs

If you have questions, please feel free to use the “Ask Veena about this tutorial” button to directly message me in private or leave a comment. Also, there’s a wonderful “My notes” option listed below the video player. This is a great way to journal, write reminders, ideas, notes, whatever you like—it’s private and you can actively take notes while a video plays.

    1. Once you’re past beginner level one, then you could add this program to any other existing program. Just be sure to listen to your body and follow rest days if possible.

        1. If you feel comfortable in heels right away then anytime. But always learn new tricks without heels first. If you’re not comfortable or familiar with heels then after the beginner level 1 program you can do the heels program and go on from there. Does that make sense?

  1. I’m starting this program over. I got about halfway through last time, and my ankles and feet were feeling healthy and strong. Then I went canoeing, strained my shoulder, and never finished the program. My feet are in pain again and I think this is a good time to focus on my lower body strength!
