Total beginner pole class
This 1-hour pole class is designed to help you become familiar with your pole and each major P.O.C (point of contact) you’ll be using for fundamental pole work. This class can also help you develop a healthy mindset for your pole dance journey.
Items you’ll need for this class:
- A pole
- An open mind
- A notebook or use the “my notes” feature below the video player
Today’s mantra is – I am open to new ideas
Pro Tips:
- Always warm up – I know how tempting it can be to walk by your pole and feel like trying a few things. However, doing so will dramatically increase your risk of acute injury. A proper warm up can improve performance and physiological readiness by up to 79%!!! So don’t risk a preventable injury that will keep you off the pole.
- Always work within your body’s abilities – Knowing and being willing to accept limitations is very important when training at home.
- Always use a crash mat – When working with a new skill from up on the pole, stay as low on the pole as you can and use a crash mat. Couch cushions can do the job if you don’t have a mat.
- Always read all descriptions before starting a session.
