Beginner Level 3: Day 11

Today you’ll practice a new trick, the basic pole plank, and you’ll push yourself trying three combos. I understand that the beginner 5 combo is a tricky one because it’s a static spin comboโit’s there to challenge you. Don’t get too frustrated if you struggle with this one.

At first I was like “How the…can I do 5 on a static pole??”. Well, second time going through this lession and now it suddenly worked (once) – yay! I just have to keep on trying. Thank you!

I want a lesson that has that plank and you fall down with your back! Locking only with your knees and your butt ????

I am so happy that my climb has improved to the point where I can do multiple climbs now. Mind it is the easier performance climb rather than the other one, but itโs still a work out for me lol. I love the planks and also the forearm sit from the other day-once I got the knack of it. Planks are tough. I can pike but Iโm ways way from being straight with hips high. Very cool moves to learn though.

I totally forgot to post yesterday.
I see a lot of improvement on the grip control routine.
Need to practice the easy up more. I cant decide if I am more comfortable with the split grip or the forearm.
Need to improve the front hook to back hook.

I just realized this entire time when I attempted a climb I was facing the pole dead on instead of turning my body slightly to the side. . . game changer. I was even able to lift both legs off the floor instead of bracing with one shin. Also doing planks on static made me realize I wasn’t pushing my hips up. Doing them solely on spin pole had me all BEHOLD THE POWER OF CENTRIFUGAL FORCE instead of focusing on proper form. Thanks!

Re-did this lesson today since I’m going through things again, and it was exactly what I needed. When I practiced performance climb, since I was up there, I tried crucifix (non-fancy) again and stayed up longer even on my wonky side!

Had a lot of fun with grip control routine, basic plank, and performance climb x loved the combos 4,5,and 6 but still can’t get the shoulder slide wave ๐๐คฃ๐คฃ๐ but wrote it all down so I can keep practicing ๐๐
