I read your post earlier today (as I was on my way out the door to go pole with some awesome friends I met on this site) but at the time, I didn’t have time to reply. Initially I got all upset and flustered and wanted to reply angrily and give you a piece of my mind for getting so angry and rude. Fortunately I had a good hour drive ahead of me to cool off and think about everything you said and honestly I had such a good time with my friends and such a good work out…my endorphins are all kicked in and I’m in an overall good mood so… I’m just going to clarify a few things that you said and then leave it alone after that.I want to say first off it’s a shame you got offended by my post and I’m sorry that you did. Just like I was sorry about that dancer who overheard me talking trash. My intent was never to cut anyone down or make them feel bad about their ability. I would have never said that to any of them because…well, that’s just damn mean. When that dancer came out and started making comments about what I said I kept my drunken mouth shut, cuz I genuinely felt bad (I guess you didn’t pick up on that in my posts).

Sabrina was joking by the way and was not implying that I should actually jump my behind up on stage during a dancers performance and attempt to shake my shimmy and show them up. This whole post was said in jest, but I think you missed that.“MY students have respect for strippers which means that many of them know that they are better at it, but would never heckle or even THINK about performing!”
I don’t agree that all strippers are better than your run of the mill “civilian” poler. That’s seems like a ludicrous and general statement that’s just untrue. And I wasn’t in the audience booing the dancers and throwing tomatoes on the stage, I made a comment in what I thought was a private area and I felt bad that it was overheard, but honestly. It was the truth. When one works in the customer service industry, they should be concerned with one thing. The customer. And whether or not that person is getting the caliber of service they feel they should be getting. This has nothing to do with “strippers” as a population.
When I go to a movie and it sucks, I walk out and say “Damn, that movie sucked”.
When I go to a restaurant and I don’t like the food, I walk out and say “Damn, that food sucked”.
When I go to a strip club and find myself utterly bored and unimpressed by the dancers, I walk out and say “Damn those girls suck”.
That’s my opinion but that’s all it is. My opinion. It’s nothing to take offense to or get angry at. I think that if you knew me better you would have understood more of where I was coming from. I went to a strip club and had a boring and expensive time. My group spent over $800 that night on drinks alone…until we had had enough of drinking and were then asked to leave.
You as a veteran should know that when you work in the entertainment industry your job is to entertain. I wasn’t entertained that night. That’s all. I spent almost $150 to drink watered down drinks I didn’t really want and watch some cute girls hangout on a stage and chit chat with each other. I reserve the right to be unhappy with my service. LOL. I was thinking, "..How long have I been here, it can’t have been too long.. I haven’t even completely unpacked". Yeah. Sometimes it’s best not to look at the calendar.
So.. I should go for introductory pole? I’m not one to turn down free time, especially if it comes with a possible demo!

Quick update…that I’m totally stoked about!
I got the results from my MRI today and there is no tendon damage in my foot! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
That’s a good sign because if the tendon was torn or ruptured that was more work the Doc would have to do to repair it. I want the least bit of trauma to the foot as possible and I’m really happy that my tendons are good to go.

I’m so happy about this guys, because I just knew it was going to say that my entire foot was shot to hell and that a ton of work was going to need to be done. Phew!

I know Angel’s maybe is a no- she has a wedding to attend. Has anyone messaged the maybes since they obviously are avoiding the forum like the plague?!
obviously I am going to have to sneakily acquire a wheelchair for my shopping purposes.
I think there is another Angel trying to come Am. Not the one with the wedding, LOL. I think.
Maybe I can rent one of those motorized chairs…

I think the go -to stuff for beginners is the beginner spins like fireman, front hook and backhook. Teaching them some strengthening moves to work on wouldn’t hurt either. Pushups, dips and what not are great for pole!

So I got on the non-smoking train and got Chantix. I am really disappointed. major sad face. It is now day 7 and I have seen no change in my cravings at all.
AWW…It hasn’t changed the way it tastes or smells to you??? OMG after two days I couldn’t stand the smell and the taste made me sick to my stomach! But then again I am very sensitive to medication so maybe that is why it hit me so fast! Good luck and if you need to chat let me know….I haven’t smoked in 13 days and haven’t really had a single craving…now I think about it A LOT but I don’t have any cravings and I know I won’t give in bc it will just taste horrible!
That’s amazing Roxy, I am really happy for you. I have quit before and the 2 week marker is like gold. I always feel really confident and woke up and found that a cigaretter wasn’t the first thing I thought about in the morning. Its a really good feeling. Keep it up girlie!
So far, I have noticed only a teeny tiny difference in taste but nothing close to the point where it’s so disgusting I can’t stand it. I don’t mind thinking about it, as long as I don’t NEED a cigarette. But I still NEED the cigarette at this point. I think I am ok though, I mean where there is a will there is way right? My problem is that I still like smoking and as much as I want to quit there is a big part of me that still wants to smoke. Hence the Chantix. ha.
Thanks for being there, I will defintely keep you posted. I might just need to take you up on that talk. Plus it would be nice to talk to you anyway. Are you still coming up for the Xmas Jam?

I work and live on fort meade! LOL I don’t know what shape center is though…have you ever been to xpose?
Some of us are meeting up at pole pressure in Dc this saturday, if you’re interested… I don’t know how far owings mill is from DC.
