Today you’ll revisit the no pole flow class where you’ll practice 5 key elements of finding your own flow. Remember, the first half of this class is perfect for those who do not naturally have rhythm or flow so feel free to skip this if you don’t need this help. However, you will also learn skills to get up from the floor and down to the floor, without using a pole. You’ll also work on facial expressions and breath.

Pro tip: I’ve listed the four sections this class is made up of. Today you can use all four or choose what you need to work on the most:

The class is divided into 4 different sections:

Section one – Finding the rhythm. Start at minute 14:50 if you don’t need help with rhythm.

Section two (Min 14:50) – I’ll provide tips and discuss these 5 aspects of dance.

  1. Breath
  2. Circles
  3. Waves
  4. Lines
  5. Facial expression

Section three (Min 25:30) – Ideas for getting up and down without a pole.

Section four (Min 35:09) – Together we’ll run through drills practicing all five elements of flow:

RHYTHM, BREATH, CIRCLES, LINES, and WAVES

Bonus drill (Min 54:28) – This drill takes you through creating circles with all parts of your body.

  1. Veena, watched the Tips! Very helpful, I like the transition from small movements to progressively “owning” more of the space and how that feels – arms especially are tough for me because I’ve got long arms and I’m not used to taking up that much space, haha! Will try to integrate this into my day.

  2. Love your tips for Flow and Movement!!! I think I’ll incorporate the drills during my every day .. even when when not dancing.. like you said .. it will help my body become more with movement. Thank you 😊

  3. WOW! This is another amazing video. I think I’m starting to get it. After watching the tips, I feel relaxed and loving myself. I think it is a great tip for future practices. I definitely get in the mood for practicing a routine after some breathing exercises and drills. By the way when I heard the word drill, I freaked out hahaha it was a nice surprise though.
