Wow that's cool, I thought maybe it was just me! I use to always be snagging things with my "callusey" hands. lol

I've never lost any skin on my SV pole, not that it can't happen. However, I have ripped skin on other finishes, so it can happen on any pole. Lost a chunk off my foot, my wrist and hands! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
One other thing I have found interesting, my calluses don't rip or become as dry as they did with other finishes. I find this surprising because I mostly dance with the SV pole on static. I love static spins. I'm looking at my hands right now and you can't even see any calluses and I've been dancing a lot more than usual!!! I'm not saying this is the case with everyone, but I just find it interesting…and good!

My thoughts may not count but I’ll post anyway. I have around 10 poles! All different finishes including the titanium gold, and the Studioveena pole is my all time favorite. I love that I don’t have to spend a lot of time trying to warm my body and pole enough to use it! Honestly, its allowed me far more practices time and less warm up time!!!

For me, it's more important that I like how I look. If I feel like I look good, then I'm more interested in sex and of course that's a good thing for him! LOL

It's a cartwheel.
Here is an OLD video I did, it shows a Full Cartwheel, Cartwheel mount (head and torso moves forward and down) and Handspring (head and torso moves back and down) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sag8kwfYBmU&list=PLyXWQXP3dueofybLatPPuLCbvfSPF2oSF&index=16
Here's a cartwheel tutorial, I'm not doing the little leg switch she does, I like the way it looks without the little switch hop. Sounds like you do it without the switching too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTxwC6v14Pg

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear about your injury! Just know that, once you've gotten a move it can come back quickly! I've had to start and stop so many times and each time I worry for no reason. Try to keep your strength up in your upper body, this will help a ton, I did that when I injured my foot and came back STRONGER! It had forced me to work on upper body so much more. Focus on healing and you'll be back at it in no time!!

After a brief chat with someone on our FB page last night, I'd like to add that recording is not totally necessary. The challenge is more about encouraging you find awareness within your body, breath and movement. For some, this may be so personal they are not comfortable sharing with everyone and I completely get that. If you don't feel ready to share through video, then I would love to read about your experience with this challenge right here on this thread!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

There is a beach at Lake Mead and the water is so warm and clear, you have a view of mountains which is lovely. There is no shade so you might want to go in the morning or bring an umbrella. It's about 20-50 mins away depending on where you're staying. http://www.nps.gov/lake/planyourvisit/swimming.htm
Red Rock is beautiful, and has hiking. If you were going to hike you would need to go in the morning for sure! http://www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/fo/lvfo/blm_programs/blm_special_areas/red_rock_nca.html
Mount Charleston is cooler if you want to see some nature and hike among the mountains, it's only about 20-30 mins away from the city. We head up to the MT Charleston Lodge for lunch now and then. http://www.mtcharlestonlodge.com/#/mtcharlestonlodge/
The Springs Preserve is a neat place, you can see the history museum, ride bike along the path, and learn a lot about the area. http://www.springspreserve.org/attractions/trails.html

I don't gamble either…What you do depends on the time of year. If it's summer then your limited because of the heat. When will you be in Vegas?

If you want to stretch a bit at work or say when you are traveling and stop and feel like stretching out. It's ok to not fully warm up. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Just stretch until you feel tension, it wont hurt anything as long as you do go crazy with "getting as far as possible". The warm up is most important before you are doing flexibility training "hard core" stuff, to GAIN flexibility. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
