I acclimate myself to spinny by doing a few session of up right moves ONLY then slowly add the inverted. Just keep at it. And I only do a few moves on spin then something else, then back to spin I’m a static lover myself anyway https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

The Ellies do seem narrow, which is what I need, I’m not sure how they work with wide feet. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif

I will add that if you cannot pull yourself upright on the pole from an invert do not attempt this move.
Going from outside leg hang I found it easier to go into side V first and then flip the hips (if this helps anyone).

This is how I teach it, from a side V….If you want to work on it lower go for it….just slide down after you invert so your bottom arm is on the floor and flip. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif -
Keep at the Reverse Handstands!!! From there you can work on a few move that require leg gripping and you wont have to be far off the ground. You’ll get use to it, take your time! Focus on trusting your leg grip. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I love my pole/business talk, I’m sure it drives other mad. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif When I’m around my in laws they must wonder why I"m so quiet…..because I can’t talk about pole in front of them! While there are some great studios out there…its a sad fact that many pole studios are not teaching safe pole dancing!! I always get emails here with complaints and injuries do to their instructors poor understanding of body mechanics. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif Live classes are great, but for those who live too far away from studios, don’t have time, or need a reminder of how to perform a move when their can’t get to the studio for help, the online lessons are a great choice.
I have seen bits and pieces of the top recommended dvds and to be honest I’ll say they are….um… OK. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif One of them I purchased as a new dancer and it was soooo disappointing, they didn’t explain things, it was just video and the narrator saying place hands here now do it. LOL I finally had a chance to watch 3 of Jamillas advanced dvds a few weeks ago, and they are one of the best that I have seen.
The beauty of of my online lessons is that we are continuously adding NEW LESSONS https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif And unlike a dvd….. you can leave questions and comments on each individual lesson for me. In addition to that, I make time to meet anyone who needs one on one help in the chat room for FREE. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif My lessons are always focused on proper form. I have MANY instructors who also take the online lessons so they can teach their students what I have taught them. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
