I had issues for 4 years until they did a leep on me. They numb you from what I remember and its over in 2mins. I didn’t feel any pain, felt just like a biopsy to me. I haven’t had any problems since then and that was 19 mths ago..well worth it!

Its the death grip like Veena said. I use to get this shooting pain through my knuckles on a couple of my fingers..I swore something was wrong with me until i realized i needed to lay off the grip a little bit lol. Good Luck!

It thankfully goes away. I dont think many of us would still be on our pole if it didnt go away lol

You know, im on page 3 of this…And i can’t help but laugh at some of these close minded people. I mean REALLY? maybe i just made the ppl around me shut up real fast when they realized i wasn’t stripping on my darn pole..but these ppl MY GOSH…I just sat there with my mouth wide open for most of that https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I should go on there and say i let my 7 year old daughter climb my pole. my daughter doesn’t know what a stripper is..hell they have poles at the flippin playground..and kids play on them all the time WHO cares..sry getting into a rant..off to read some more https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

My handstand part doesn’t hurt at all. I do believe my fear of falling on my head during the car is what’s making my transition so slow and in turn making it hurt more. I’m going to try and focus on turning my knees inward and engaging my muscles later on today…right now my skin hurts a tad LOL
On another note my pelvis is tilted more and my ankles are closer to the pole with my handstand, maybe that’s what I’m doing wrong I’m not tilting enough…I’m determined to figuare this out lol

Wahoo i got my CKR and screamed (hope i didnt wake up anyone in my house https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif ) Gonna go post a video of my success and failed CAR lol. Time to keep working on it i guess lol

Thanks so much you guys <3 I believe im doing everything correctly its just getting over the pole burn again (haven’t been working on my pole sits in a couple of weeks https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif ) and getting over the fear. I think i’ve seen way too many bloopers on YT LOL I have my plank down, haven’t tried the adv in awhile either (haven’t had a lot of time for poling as of late getting ready to move)
On the flip side, we’re moving and hopefully i get a new house with taller ceilings which will make some things a lot easier LOL. I will work on these today tho

I have a 50 mm. I’ve seen people use both, and would love to get a 45 myself one day. I have heard that it is harder to do tricks on the 45 esp if you are use to the 50, just because with say a CKR you have to squeeze tighter because the pole isn’t so big, if that makes any sense

I have a 7 ft even ceiling in my basement (where my pole is) 8ft upstairs. I bought the extension to use down here (its out of the way and gives me my privacy instead of poling in say my living room) anywho. It cost me about a extra $45 dollars for it, but its worth it at times. With tricks its a pain, I just learned my SM, and i have to go so low on the pole before i pull into it so that i dont hit the ceiling, which i have on a couple of occasions. So, you can go to 6 1/2 feet, but remember what your compromising too at the same time..Totally something to think about

As a mother of a 7 year old daughter myself..The mother needs to get her morals in check. My daughter has NO CLUE that you can dance with make up/heels ect or any dancing even at that..She just thinks of the pole as something to help her with flexibility for tumbling as well as cool spins and she tries to do inverts but i’ve pretty much stopped her at this point for her saftey..I dont even know what else to say about this woman <sigh>

You might be a pole dancer if you are at a club..never poled before but watched tons of videos and got offered a job from the owner of the local strip club LOL (true story..was a year ago..also won the pole dancing contest that night woot)

I have small hands as well. I have a 50mm. I’d love to get a 45, but i heart its harder to grip with say a CAR if you are use to the 50.. any opinions on this?

yeah, i was thinking about something along the same lines..sorta..have a crazy girl out there that likes to stalk me..but then again…you can’t really hide everywhere online from weirdo’s..sad to say https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I dont even know how they would go about doing this. They already have you make a act to login..maybe so many posts to see vids i dont know https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

I use my digital point and shoot canon. I have windows movie maker and sony vegas..both are great for editing

i think they look awesome! hard..but a great way to not only target your theighs/butt ect but your abs and core…ahh i will have to talk hubby into holding my feet this weekend..as i face plant on the ground trying to do them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

When i first started the lessons my pole was upstairs and my pc was down stairs.. I’d watch key parts a couple times…pause it ..run upstairs (great for those glutes too! lol) try it..if i had a problem i’d run back down here and rinse and repeat
-
The only time i had a problem was when i first started trying to learn the reverse grab spin…I wore wrist bands the next time and after that haven’t needed them. I think if you do get them you learn how to fix your hold so that you don’t get them again down the line lol
-
I have that problem..and i have done dance/gymnastics ect my wholel life..have no problem getting on a stage and doing that kind of stuff..i coach as well..but to dance EVEN PRACTICE on my pole for my husband..i can’t do it.. i think my problem is i can’t relax and im sitting there wondering what he’s thinking lol

I had/have a problem with this area..I have noticed a DRAMATIC improvement since i started poling & working out.. What i do to focus on this area, is good lunges. I also lay on the floor, knees bent and sholder width apart. I raise my behind up as far as i can go (your arms are straight down along your sides) hold it for 10 secs and lower it down, and right back up i go. I do as many as i can of these. It not only firms your theighs/butt ect..it also works on your abs as well. They are easy to do, and all you need is your body and a floor to do them on
ETA..opps its already been posted (shoulder bridges) anywho i 2nd that form of exercise https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

SoS you remind me of how i was 2 months ago. I would go to the store for 2hrs or something and i felt like iw as up for 3 days.. Well come to find out i was severely iron defincent..Have your dr run some blood work on you bc if its your iron..that will zap all your energy. I ended up having iron infusions, and just now started having some energy to start poling again.
