Keep us updated, hope you feel better, and as I have spent over 20 mins trying to find even more new videos, i don’t think she understands either!

Is there a choreography book? My class has a dance for each level and I follow during class dependantly watching the instructor. By the time I am home I cannot follow the dance and allow for the EXTRASor even while in class very well.- I just don’t remember. I would like to try something on paper to glance at while going without having to follow a DVD- because it will be the same as class. I still like classes and DVDs but it could help me advance some. IS there such a book?

I like this idea a lot!

We get tutorials and advice that we may otherwise not ask others for, and watch great vids that inspire…and as there are other greats that may not participate -here I love that you guys are reachable and bring that poling heaven in the sky and little closer to earth. * a little gushy?* LOL

Congrats! I recently started classes and am making small improvements. It feels great! You should post a new vid !!

I saw a youtube vid about how a spotting incident went wrong. Everytime I see someone actually touch someone up on the pole I see that video in my head.

I just started in a med sized town in CA. I have a 1 hr class a week for $75 a month without sharing a pole.

MemberAugust 14, 2009 at 5:41 pm in reply to: STACEY NEMOUR’s Secrets of Splits & FlexibiltyI saw it. I bought it and already did it once. I am definatly going to give it a shot. She has a web site explaining about the DVD. It is worth the extra bits included if you have any joint pain/stiffness in more parts than just your legs. There is time spent on shoulders and other parts. Her splits are like WOW. It does use ankle weights and a wall.

I feel like it might be a little early for me also and I know I’m not in shape but I won’t ever be as much as some of you ladies. However I hope our class will go slow with it. However I think I would pay for an extra solo lesson a week just to get it more correctly instead of glossing over it until it gets right. ( where that is only what we are working on.)

MemberAugust 14, 2009 at 4:37 am in reply to: OMG!!!After much adu, I’ve got my first CLASS!!!I had a wonderful time. I was with 2 other girls as 2 or so were out for whatever reason and of course the teacher. Again they started I believe 2 weeks ago. We did pinwheel, back hook, fireman, chair, cradle, split v but there was a different name. climbing the pole with a pole sit- I can’t remember what way we got off as I didn’t wear shorts! We started invert trials. One could already, one did it I think once and I did better than I ever have. I learned I am afraid to committ and I learned by doing with instruction about how to stand, where the momentum is and how to grab. I was able to get my first leg up but then would slide down, mostly with my arm– an instant ugly bruise followed even before practice was over. I was grateful and didn’t think I would get it with out this class. I also asked about the arm thing and was told a lot of what it will/should be will be in my armpit more. With the cradle I was missing the point that you switch hands and lead with the feet- so for the first time it seems a little more possible. When it came time to practice the routine we left out the invert for the 2 of us who were too tired to include it.( for now anyway)
I plan to practice at home on the newer ones that I feel I’m newly understanding better and have already looked at the Studio Veena lessons on those to make sure I keep it in my head correctly. Hopefully next week I can do them better with a little at home study guide – lessons ( from here). However I think I am afraid of doing inverts on my xpole at home. I feel safer doing a lot more things on an installed pole.I will buy shorts! I also saw that size is not issue.

…so how was it?

I saved your vid as a fav today, maybe that is it??? Don’t know but I want to know also.

Super sexy and very strong! I would have rated 5 stars if it would have let me! I fav’d it, great work

My mom went to my pole bachelorett party and even did a few turns but before me being 28 at the time and they way we age my mom would NEVER of let me either. We also grew up strict.
My mom has changed over the years. Used to only buy us white cotton underwear but now every gift is VS underwear. She enjoyed herself at the party and took the pics, after ward she even noticed the dancing difference between my sis and I . " You’re curvy and sexy. She’s athletic and flexable ( already trying to invert first experience)" She knows about my pole in my house but my dad and I never talk about pole dancing and NO ONE but my sis actually knows that after that a week after the party we went to a strip/ pole club just so I can see more done in real life.
It seems we all have somthings we have to hold back and maybe our parents don’t want to know even if we aer adults. -

o.k, this is one should probably be able to do as I am not that experienced yet on the pole and it would work great with my new sparkly shoes. ideas, ideas, ideas. what song???? hmmm..this challenge is a good first one.
-
or if you are interested in involving your pole there is a Dr Amy something that includes a band to work with. I have it- bought it before I got my pole and haven’t found it yet?!
I would check the other threads on what people look for to see if they’re ready for inverts and work towards that
( a lot of abs and arms) in general. Something I’m working on and have found myself in deficient in

I love how some here; even though they know what doesn’t look good, will still list things they also are guilty of themselves.
a cute personality trait!
