Today is a quick day, and don’t worry—even though I’m covering inverts, no one will actually be inverting today. However, everyone will be working on the first steps to a lovely, floating controlled momentum style of invert. Remember you can actively take notes while watching my tips video.
Pro tip: If you’ve been part of my pole family for a while, you’ll know I’m not a big fan of deadlifting (hips in front of the pole and lift with no momentum) into your inverts. Yes, it has a time and place, and it’s a great flex, and helpful in preparing you for aerial inverts and perhaps adding a dramatic pause before a powerful slow invert. Deadlifting doesn’t promote flow while performing, which is ultimately what this program is about, so the controlled momentum invert is what you’ll practice.

I loved the sexy legs and abs routine! So much fun! I only have carpet in my apartment so I got stuck with a few movements. I think I may try it at the gym on of these days. Of course it kicked my butt and now I understand why Veena said to keep smiling and breathe hahaha I had to remind me of that… thanks a bunch! I hope we get to do it more in the flow program
