Welcome! Today is the start of week 1 where you’ll focus on:

  • Shoulder Mounts
  • Janeiro
  • Chest strength
  • Back Strength
  • Mobility

Having the program split into weeks will allow you to come back and focus on groups of tricks anytime, without needing to do the entire program! You can let the videos play through in order, but if you would like to see descriptions and related tutorials for each video click the pink text. This will give you direct access to each tutorial.

For today, warm up with the Active Back Routine, then you’ll work on your leg lines with the Stop the Micro Bend Routine. your trick for today is the Shoulder Mount give this at least 5 tries per side. Finish with the Forearm stretch Hold 30 seconds.

Responses

  1. just curious on the microbend excercises on the floor, how does it help or translate to when you are on the pole? I tend to forget my lines and toes when i am up the pole because i am too busy trying to not fall.

  2. The repetition so doing these often, will help develop new neural pathways, creating a more desirable automatic response regardless of your body position. I also suggest doing work on the pole. It’s as simple as being mindful of knees, elbows, shoulders, feet or whatever your weak point is, when working on tricks. Repetition is key when it comes to developing a new movement pattern.
