I take both…there are a lot of moves that are the same or similar…I have heard different names at different studios for the silks as well as pole…here is a link that is kinda cool… I bought a beginners manual for aerial silks and one for aerial yoga from them… also if you want to email/pm me some photos let me know

How many of you own, attend or have attended a studio which uses crash mats?

I have one at home and LOVE it…use it all the time when trying the harder funkier stuff…my pad and a spotter!

It’s crappy but I am not surprised…had the same sort of problem with a *picture* cake of a pole dance move for someone’s birthday party. They said we don’t do nudity…huh the picture was not a NUDE she had on a sports top and boy shorts!!!! However apparently girls in tiny bikini’s are just fine…cause that was one of their examples.

I just saw this. I too had some CRAZY fibroids and a hysterectomy. I would say I got back into serious poling around 2.5 months – inverting etc. However I also went back to pole in general around 6 weeks…just lighter stuff – no shoulder mounts or inverts or anything where I had to curl upwards lol…more light spins, dance etc. Also I had a tummy tuck AND a hysterectomy and lipo all at the same time so I bet my healing time was a little longer than yours will be. In the end it was the BEST thing ever for me, a lot of stuff was easier afterwards.

I used to be able to watch youtube vids on my bb…….ever since i updated the dang software in it….I can’t watch them anymore.

Wow good luck on your big move!! I’m in Canoga Park which is very close to Van Nuys! I go to Oasis personal training for pole classes taught by StellaBella on here.
