Remember guys….you should only hand tighten the poles, (if you don’t think your hands are strong enough you can use the rods but then you have to be careful not to over tighten) so in general, don’t use the rods to tighten it, the rods are only to loosen the pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

That is the most unsecured grip your talking about Amber. Have you tried it this way?? Watch at 2:06 I use what I call the Veena grip. Watch how the top arm has the grip at the front of the pole not behind and its extended and not bent….this position feel very secure. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif
I do the average SM grip the one it sounds like your trying, just before 2:06 and if you watch you can see me switch to veena grip in the middle of the hold.

I LOVE this camcorder!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I take it everywhere because its so small. I always hated to use our really nice one, that we have for SV (I knew I would erase something or screw it up some how) So hubby bought me one of the flip cams and I love it. I would say go with a thicker mat if your gonna buy one. To be honest… for at home, I really like couch/sofa cushions. They are nice and soft and free. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
