Feeling meh about in studio progressThe lessons here are a perfect supplement to your studio lessons or for some they replace the need for a studio. You can learn only from the website but some really like the social aspect of learning in studio. Others find the studio they attend doesn’t provide them with enough help or knowledge, this is not all studios but anyone can open a studio and be certified.
You’ll find full 30 day programs if you want lots of guidance or navigate on your own. Just know that all my lessons are place in a progressive order so you simply start at the beginning of any section and work from there on…even if you have poled before. 🙂 It can help to learn the same things from a different teacher.

I had though about doing a 30 day spinning pole program for those new to spinning pole but I’m unsure if that would be helpful?
-
Thank you! I’m glad you find the programs helpful. Besides the handspring what other moves do you think people struggle with?

If it’s a brass x pole and tall, over 9 ft, I am very careful about letting it sag, it tends to be such a soft metal that over time it could bow if you are not careful. I haven’t had any issues with my other finishes of xpoles. I often leave mine in one piece (dome off) and lay it on the floor until I set it up again.
I’m guessing xpole would tell you to fully disassemble the pole and store it in it’s bag 🙂
If you do leave it together be sure to check the everything is tight before you use it, some goes for if you leave it up!

Feel free to give me a shout when you upload something.

Do you have a video of what you’re having trouble with? I’m not sure I understand completely what you’re looking for?
-
I don’t think I have one specific tutorial for that but have you looked at the static spin lessons here? At the end I demonstrate spinning pole technique for each spin as well. I have spinning pole help in the bonus lesson pole section too. I can be found towards the end.

This one can be very painful at first if you haven’t been using the elbow pits much yet! Try working on moves like partial split grip, but with an elbow pit grip! Veena’s tips for split grips https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/54aa2650-4760-480b-8b20-340c0a9aa0eb This can help get the pits ready and yes, arch and squeeze so you’re not just relying on skin!

Don’t forget to follow me! I do challenges every month and I try my best to always include easier variations so everyone can participate.

Some like it dirty some like it clean. I think the advice about clean your pole is more for back in the day when grip aids were not so prevalent and about not wearing lotion or oil that could make it slick! Like others have said depending on skin type, pole finish and environment you might prefer a dirty pole. Clean poles can be nice for some skin types tho!
StrangeFox, I also have the worst time gripping my brass after cleaning it to a shine with brasso….so annoying! I only us brasso about once a year. I really like steaming my poles if I find they just need a cleaning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdjeYnLLaBw

I have 2 one is our branded veena pole (no longer sold) that grip was lovely but still took some getting use to because it was so grippy when warm but didn’t leave me with calluses which was great.
The x pole PC has more, hmmm bite? I guess would be the word. It’s not more gentle than any other finish, it’s possibly more apt to give you pole burn (I’ve found). I think as Allyson mentioned they might be referring to skin allergies.
If more grip is what you want I have found that this combo helps (no they didn’t pay me to say this) in fact neither company even said thanks for the mention lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgvvc2uvcFw

Depends on where it’s loose! If the whole things moves down by the base it’s probably the hex screws at the very bottom that are not tightened enough. If there is movement at the joint then you need the joint tool to tighten it. The joints inside show you which way to turn it to loosen or tighten.
