I was going to contact Xpose but I see there are 4 locations so I didn’t know which one to email. If I could get the contact info from whatever studio you guys would like I will happily contact them. Remember guys we are only looking for the use of space……not, instruction of any kind. We do not need a "host" to help us with the party either, this is not a bachelorett party. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I am trying to work things out here so I can go…I just need to know what studios are out there…I will gladly make the contact with them and explain what we are looking for as soon as I find out if I can go. I hope to know with in a week. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

OMG my bruise was tiny compared to that….I also have a hoop made out of that same stuff…but I didn’t fill it with anything, 3lbs seems heavy!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Do they have a lighter one for you?? Is the bruise better yet? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif

Haha Charley I had the same problem for a bit…my poles took up all the open space! Now that I have a pole room I have plenty of space for both thing. I also have been using hoop as a warm up for pole or a good stretching session. I made a new video today and will post it at some point here. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

haha I had a little bit of bruising one time after a good hooping session. I assumed it was normal so its good to know I’m not the only one this has happened to. My hoop is really light weight so it has only happened the one time. I wanna see some hooping vids guys. LOL I’ll try to do a new one soon, I’m coming up on session 10 soon! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

LOL that video is so true.. we never seem to see ourselves the way we really are. I don’t know why we do that to ourselves *sigh* I do it too, but I have gotten better about it. Trena is right life is short… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

Tutorials aren’t allowed unless your an instructor and you have permission from us. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
oh! sorry! i thought that only applied to actual pole tricks. i thought things like shaking your booty and floorwork and stuff like that would be ok, like for example sascha´s floor and chair vids…
Nope….To make it simple, I have decided to go with a no tutorial policy unless your an instructor…it use to be if you had permission, but now, I require that your an instructor AND ask permission. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_neutral.gif -
I have dents in my ceiling. I tightened it too much (worried I;d fall) and now have a gorgeous half circle. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I recommend being careful.Yep I second that…there is a reason they say not to over tighten. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

Would you all love me forever if I re posted the booty vids I did months ago?…..they are not that great and I have been waiting to redo them, but…….

You’ll be great Sissy and have fun with it!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Don’t worry Trena…..I find it is a bit different to work on inverted split grip moves from an invert instead of a CW mount or HS mount. Your centered on the pole when your doing it from an invert…and when you do the mounts your not right on center so that can change the balance factor a bit. Does that make sense? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

I promise, the booty lessons will be the first ones I add!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif And no you don’t have to have a big booty to do them….its all in the legs. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I just thought of something I read some time ago:
You can fill the base with water or sand to weigh it down if it’s not sturdy enough.
That is the PS garden pole, you fill with water or sand, sounds like a lot of mess to me.Tara, I would not leave the pole part out in the elements….but its easy to just pull the pole out of the X stage and bring it inside. Then you could just cover the stage with something. I have heard the R pole is fine but, with the standard still being 50mm 35 seems way to small. I really wish 45mm was the standard, and maybe that will change. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

LOL Thanks Charley…I was just coming back to explain what the lunch box/broken pencil, looks like https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Carriej, I have a whole long list of new moves that will be added to the lessons. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

Don’t feel bad about being confused….We all still get confused over names of moves and some make no sense at all! In my lessons I call it the pencil, pencil mount (iguana), broken pencil (lunch box), and pencil split…. I just thought it would make more sense than using all the random names….I’ll be renaming some moves soon though. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

This is one fear I have about competing….I know MY pole is put up right and I can and do check it everytime…but I don’t know that I trust other people putting up a pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I don’t even know that I would trust a permanent pole. I didn’t install a permanent pole right and it fell down on me. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

AdministratorOctober 7, 2009 at 7:11 pm in reply to: CA Workshops with Karol (Redke)–USPDF East Champion!I wish we had active studios in the midwest…it seems like all the studios everyone visits for workshops are all on the east or west coast. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I need to move…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
If I ever move back to the midwest….I would make sure there were an active studio, maybe some day… -
How frustrating!!!!! Just let them hang a freakin plant hook, then you’ll know where the stupid stud is, oh, I dont’ know…..I can’t believe how annoying. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif You could try showing them an installation video?? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
