I tried everything under the sun when I was pregnant cuz I had morning sickness with them all and nothing worked but peppermint gum! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I rarely vomit when I get sick to my tummy cuz I think its the most horrible thing in the world! LOL so I can fight it pretty well (unless its the stomach flu) If I don’t take it easy at first on Spinny, I just end up feeling really sick for hours. I haven’t worked on spin since my last spin vid which was…April I think…eek So Whats the PUMA method?

Hi Poleophile! I’m not sure what I might have done wrong when I was trying to upload that vid to this site, but I have put it on YouTube now instead. I have the same name, StellarMotion, for my YouTube channel. Do you have a YouTube channel? If so we could be friends there! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
You didn’t do anything wrong…I remember you saying in chat you have a mac, well sometime I have trouble with my vids failing to upload using my mac too, if I save them as a M4V or what ever that option is. lOL as long as I export it to quicktime the videos upload fine then. -
Sorry, i should have been more clear. is there a setting so that we don’t receive any topic reply notifications, ever, without having to opt-out? i log in daily and the notification emails are kind of superfluous, especially since every time i visit the board, it seems to re-set the notifications and i get them all over again.
Just use your email client to filter it then if you don’t want to see others responses. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Ok this might not make any sense…I’m not feeling my best today. LOL here a tip that has help some figure out how that hooked leg so go. You know when you sit cross legged how your foot is kinda pointing to your hip. Well that the position you want when your holding the gemini… many try to keep their foot pointing away from their body and pole, like in the same direction as the free leg, but to get a goo grip, turning that hip and thinking of holding the leg in the cross leg position can help you feel more secure in your grip. So hooked foot tries to point towards the free legs hip. Ok off to nap…… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

I would just buy the PS pole new, I know its cheaper to do used but….and the PS stainless steal poles will become grippy over time. I just don’t have the patients for that so thats why I like the grip of Chrome. YOu can still work on stretching, floor moves and strength work while you wait for you pole!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

The girls are right….anyone can pole dance, just be sure to use proper form. Taking a class or getting the lessons here if you have a home pole is a good idea. And don’t worry about the inverting….there are tons of fun things you can work on without using an invert!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

And this is just an out of the box question… But why am I seeing other videos thy aren’t in the least bit pole related? Ice skating, and other family time videos??? Most of us have other interests that play apart in our pole dancing, like hooping and ice skating, trapeze ect.. I love it when members share their videos with us. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif family pole time is great. This is how we get to know each other better and why we have such a strong and caring community!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Do you mean your Control panel? That’s up at top right hand corner of the site.
Hmmmm, the only thing you pay for here are the lessons…you should just be able to click on a user name to see a profile.

Well if you leave the pieces together, putting up the pole takes under 5mins for me. I mark and X on my ceiling so I know where the joist is, then I don’t have to try to find it every time. If you take the pole totally apart I would say its about 10mins to put if once you know what your doing.
I have both a 45 amd 50 X. The standard size (right now) for competitions and studios is the 50. So if you want to dance outside of your home 50 is the best bet, because once you can dance on the larger 50 its really easy to transition over to a smaller 45. If your getting the pole just for fun then the 45 is a bit easier, just remember move to a larger pole will be a challenge! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I just wanted to jump in and add, that you guys are totally right to be working on the shoulder dismount/reverse SM for this one. Anytime your trying to advance and gain strength without the risk of injury by using brute force, working on the negative (lowering down) portion of a move is the way to go! In weight training doing the negative portion of a lift is used often. It can really help you move up to the next level!! So remember the same goes for the Aerial invert and so on. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Negatives work.

Not sure if this was posted somewhere else but Veena when do the new lessons come out??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
I have 2 "new" (not seen in the lessons on here) done and ready to upload that are Pole moves… but I am adding other info to the line up as well. I am re doing the old ones all first and then I will be adding new ones after I finish the all old. I will be sending out a newsletter with up dates. I have 21 taped already!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
