Hello and welcome to the site!!
-
Welcome back!! So happy your enjoying your pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Dance baby dance!!! Put on some music and go with the moves you know and that come most natural and just dance. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifDon't worry if you feel silly or look crazy….lol but don't stop moving! Stay with it for a whole song. I could get into greater detail and I'm guessing someone else will thank god for wonderful veeners. But the short answer is just dance! If you know all the moves in the Beginner routine lesson give that a shot as well. Keep that heart rate up! Doing a trick and then stopping then doing another is more of a strength building approach….cardio…move move move.

If your looking for lessons at home I have a big selection here. 🙂 Stretches and strength for pole are include in the lessons as well as routines. I like to wear poleskivvies shorts when I dance.

I love my 45mm! I have both 50 and 45 but the 45 is much easier on my shoulder, elbow and wrist joints. Leg grip can feel difficult if you are use to a larger pole but over all I feel I have more control over any move that requires hand grip. Split grips are amazing on 45s! I have no trouble at all with leg grip. A 50 feels like a tree trunk to me now. lol

runemist you can just punch a hole through the clear plastic. I have done that with most of my heels.

I believe they are affiliated with performers that work in stripclubs and such. So if your interested in exotic style work might be worth looking into. There are a lot of comps out there now so its good to do your research before you apply. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

AdministratorFebruary 2, 2011 at 1:23 pm in reply to: Newbie to Veena looking for advice and reveiws on poling stuffWelcome to the sitehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif …the AOP dvds are the closest to my style of teaching so for dvds I like that one. If your looking for routines I do have them in the lessons here. They are not mini routines like you find on some dvds but full length over a min, with a break down of the movements. Also I add new content or up date content every month, this is something you can't get in a dvd.
I hear a lot of good things about Mika yoga wear but have never tried it. I like Poleskivvies pole wear and I also use a lot of swim suite bottoms. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I’ll be there In chat at 1:30 central 🙂

It could be about heartbreak as well if you wanted https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif
-
We use the hooked food trasition all the time in the lessons, yes.
-
Thats how I teach it amy…CKR to Reverse inverted Thigh hold….which uses the hooked foot position your talking about…your also your using the inside of your thighs at all times while you move into position. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
-
No I teach the Bow and Arrow and Pencil from a CKR not CAR…your only missing out of things like Bridges by not doing CAR.
-
I can be in chat this afternoon between 1:30-4:00 pm Central time if that works for any of you.
-
Yes 409 is right….I should have mentioned that. For some of those with a leg shape like this ( ) in other words, being bow legged, turning the knees in will be difficult and will make this move feel very unsecured! Also I prefer the CKR for the most part anyway.

Hey guys…..please add yourselves to the Event. Then we can easily see who all is coming. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifhttps://www.studioveena.com/events/view/attend/4d489a9d-63cc-43f2-85e4-11f60ac37250

Runemist, if you have a webcam I'd be happy to meet you in the chat room sometime and take a look at your invert. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Pink, You have to make sure your coming up high enough on the shoulders in the start position. I believe I cover that in the lesson. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif You can't expect to get every move instantly, most moves can take weeks of trying.
