Latin…If you look at the quick lesson section you’ll find a bunch of spinning pole lessons including how to invert both forward and back!
Iben Fahlen (I always giggle at that name btw) The TG grip isn’t there for a reason. I have thought about making a video to post the the lessons so people understand the the twisted grip isn’t the only option for handspring and such. Also touch on why it may be harmful for some dancers and how to train for this grip. It’s taught far too often as something everyone should do in class and that’s not the case.
Ok Poleaventures got it!

Thanks for posting, it’s always nice to have ideas listed for me!! xoxox
When you say reverse spin do you mean just spins going backwards in general or reverse grab?

Thank you 💜💜💜💜💜

If it’s an xpole that isn’t custom you might want to talk with them. I bought the longer joints which helps with sway and is suggested for taller poles.

YESS! And if it’s a thinner pole like 40 and brass it will give a lot. Mine does!

There are a few different methods I’ve seen. I can make a quick lesson showing how I do it tomorrow, provided these sniffles are not going to manifest into a cold!!! Also you’re talking about this right? https://www.studioveena.com/galleries/view/4f883620-04d0-4c6d-82be-250c0ac37250

We have a brand new outdoor gym on the bay in SF. I’ve always thought it would be fun to go use it!

Welcome Ibenfahlen! Thank you so much, feel free to spread the word about the site. Let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome!! You’re totally in the right place for newbies! As mentioned there’s tons of content here so starting with the 30 day take off program is perfect once you have a pole. If you have access to a playground fireman pole you could use that for a bit if you wanted to start right away. Otherwise, the conditioning, flexibility and floor work sections are all good places to start!
The biggest tip for lesson use is to always watch the first lesson in any section, this lesson will explain how to progress in that section…everything is always in a progressive order making it much easier to figure out then learning on social media.
Xpoles are great and we do sell them just click on “get a pole” at the top when you’re ready! Feel free to try out the hooping and chair dance sections too!

My legs hang off in splits and floorwork isn’t happening either. If you want to work on spins tho the stage is fine and it’s good for tricks too. I like to put 2 yoga mats over my base because the metal is cold and loud. As far as stages go tho, it’s the best!

I’m so happy the programs are helping! I’ve had a lot of personal things pop up this month making recording not possible, it’s been frustrating! I HOPE to be able to record and finish it up soon, otherwise I’m aiming for April sometime.
KateA, have you tried working through the caterpillar program, we do a lot of crucifix and thigh holds in that one! Otherwise I plan on doing more Veena’s tips for more moves in the future as well.
