    Hey there

I had breast aug and tummy tuck Nov of 09.  Love the results!   3 big babies, when I was sitting or bent at the waist – there was all this loose skin that would not suck in.   My Dr cleared me to go back to any and all exercise after 8 weeks, I took it pretty slow , basically pretended I was starting all over to build up the strength again.  Worked my way back to all my previous tricks in about 2 months.  Don't think I've posted a vid since, I'll have to work on that this spring as my poling room warms up!   They do not cut the muscle, just cut and remove skin…If you have a large middle space between your right and left side, they can 'sew' it together.  I have a scar from hip to hip that is very faint and he did a great job putting it at bikini line so even low bikinis hide it.  My bigger scar is a small vertical where my old belly button used to behttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif but it looks like a c section scar, so I don't worry about it showing except to cover it with sunscreen.  Very happy with feeling like I can show off all the hard work I've put in on my abs the last couple years, without it being hidden by all the extra skin.  Let me know if you have any other ?'s

My husband caught the ‘drop’ as he was coming down the steps.
lucky for me, and him I guess, he didn’t laugh – just said, "wow! are you ok?’
I said "yeah, I’m just going to lay here a bit."
Later he did remind me to let him know if I needed a spotter.
hadn’t needed one for that move for awhile – and knock wood this was the first time I’ve come off it, but I have been having him spot more as I’m working on reverse aysha, hip hold and iguana mount.

Oh Veena… I’m so sorry that you’ve lost your sister – hope that you can take all the time you need/want to be with your family now. You’ve done such a great job supporting your pole family here – we’ll do well for each other while you’re doing what you need. Your dance was beautiful to watch and I’m so glad you have and use this as an emotional release.
Love and prayers to you and your family.
    And big hugs to you.

Hey Jennasmom – I will be staring Insanity toward the end of March – get a week away in FL first.
My husbands 3/4s through the 60 days and there are visually noticable differences to all his major muscle groups – esp abs. Yeah!!
I’m excited but nervous – think it’s going to kick my ass!
I’ll be very glad to keep in touch on how we’re doing and get/give encouragement.
let me know when you will start it.

February 24, 2010 at 4:27 am in reply to: poling and breast implants…

I looked all over for this info before I had mine done in November and couldn’t find much, so here’s my 2 cents.
I got under the muscle saline implants in early November, tummy tuck at the same time.
first 2 weeks were ugly but steadily improved from there.
implants gave me more trouble – felt like I was so swollen and sore! Anyone who has breast fed – it felt like the baby missed 2 or 3 feedings! worst part of tuck was 13 days of drain tubes!
doc gave ok for light workouts at 1 month and told me if it’s legal I can do it at 3 months, I specified pushups, pullups – nothing will be a problem? he said go ahead.
so I went back to my 4 -5 times a week at the Y, bodypump (weightlifting) and cycling. Now at 3 1/2 months I’m back at what I could lift before surgery. under muscle is odd in that they flatten out a bit when I flex chest muscles, I can do that trick of making them alternately bounce lol!!
Anyway – we were changing house around a bit at 2 months so pole was down. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
Hubby is reinstalling it this week ( getting it back up just didn’t sound right!)
So I will let you no how it is getting back to it and what issues I have.
Basically I’ve been off for 4 months now and can’t wait to get back to it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

If you’ve cleared everything you possibly can out of your family room to make space for your pole –
you may be a pole dancer

If your husband gets a huge grin on his face when you say you’re going to work out –
you may be a pole dancer

    or…
If you walk past your husband in platform heeled black boots a bra and teeny shorts and he glances at you and then goes back to whatever he was doing-
you may be a pole dancer

boomerang is the name I’ve heard for the spin where your hands are like carousel but your legs are forward in a V

tried again last night – down they fall https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif – now I’m just trying to do it as a stationary hold.
sorry, I should start a new post for tips on this one – don’t want to Hijack!

I have started wiping the pole down with windex – then making sure it’s dry
and washing and drying my hands before i start practice.
These keep me from slipping down on my spins when I’m starting, about 15 min into it I have to run the towel down the pole again – I try to practice some of the sexy transition moves into it.

I got a resin bag that I use on my hands (and sometimes inner thighs https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif when I’m working pole sits and inversions, but man. make sure it’s all off before spinning again! think I left some skin behind when i forgot that!

    Happy poling

keep at it – I’ve been hating this one myself but in practice last night I actually went around 2 times instead of my usual 1/2 turn before my feet hit the floor again!
    Yeah!!
I just do it a few times each practice and then move on to other spins so I don’t get too frustrated.
Thanks for the posts about focusing on pulling the knees up and being sideways – that helped.

I think the evil one for me will remain the boomerang – my legs won’t stay up!!

I am a 38 yr old mom of three kids.
My daughter is 8 and I have 6 and 3 yr old sons.
I’m one who likes to jump into new things I enjoy so as soon as I discovered I liked the pole – a lot! I wanted one at home. So we have a pole in the family room that hasn’t been down since it went up on mothers day.
I’m much more likely to do something if there isn’t a set up take down process.
The kids love to spin and climb on it.
It’s just exercise equipment around here.
If I want to practice any sexy moves – it’s just after bedtime.
I really am loving it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

    Hey fellow newbies
I’ve just started in the past couple monthes and havn’t posted a video yet either.
that’s some technology I’ll have to work through!
love to work with you ladies on cheering each other on.
currently I have medical tape on my right wrist because I’ve been having such fun with spins this weekend that I broke the skin -but still want to play tonight.
Wish me luck on the cradle and back grab.
