I'm starting to finally show mine a little through pole, I've been the chubby kid/girl my whole life but am in the best shape of my life due to pole and I noticed they were poking through a bit! Of course that was before all the junk food and beer I had this weekend… 🙂

I had a great time too! Sorry I turned down the cake normally I never would but I was drinking a huge beer and thought they might not go well together 🙂 you are so cute and next time we will for sure have to chat more I wasn't feeling too well so I wasn't as chatty/social as I would have liked to be either. All the performers were fantastic I was so proud of everyone…and I have Joel giving you guys your dances on video…https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Post a video and we can try to take a look at it for you? It's a tricky one it took me a while to figure it out!

Granted I have never been an instructor and I am self taught with the use of these lessons but I can see how you would be disappointed in both teaching styles and also how you felt confused by one instructor showing you one way of doing something and another instructor contradicting what the other one said (unless I am confused and this happened at 2 different places?) but either way when the question arose I think the instructor could have acknowledged the basic way before showing the advanced way or just acknowledged it somehow to make it less confusing for people who were asking about the other way. and i feel that responsibility lies on the owner to make sure the instructors are teaching consistently regardless of them being employed there at the same time or not. I do agree with what others said about finding the type of teaching style/studio that best fits your needs and it probably will take some shopping around. A lot of people do a combination of veena lessons and a studio or veena lessons and an open pole session once a week etc.

Sometimes mine have accidentally gotten funneled into my spam folder and then eventually set themselves right again so that might be a possibility?

Nope you don’t need to do anything at all besides let it try, it’s literally a liquidy glue that is meant for fabric. The only issue I had was that the pump got clogged up halfway through so I had to use one of those wide foamy craft brushes to help evenly disperse the glitter or you can just buy an empty spray bottle in case you need it, they have different colors of the spray glitter as well!

I wanted a sparkly outfit for a performance but I am on a budget so I went to the craft store and bought spray on glitter and I have used it on several pole outfits and it works really well. I like a lot of bling so I used the entire bottle for just one top and bottom but you can use as much or as little as you want and there's basically no mess except for any overspray. As I have washed the outfits the glitter has come off a bit but the bottle was pretty inexpensive so if I need to wear it again I can just add more sparkles. Hopefully this helps you some 🙂

MemberJune 15, 2011 at 12:19 am in reply to: Dancing for the boyfriend for the first timeIf you can do it, get a copy of the idiot's guide to pole and exotic dance. the book has entire chapters on this subject exactly and covers tons of stuff you wouldnt even think about and gives suggestions for themes, costumes etc. and the girl who wrote it has a good sense of humor so its a fun read regardless, but it does have some pole and chair/floorwork in there too and comes with a dvd. i am not getting paid to say this that was just a really good resource i have used in the past. and for transtions and such or sexy poses to do on the pole veena's lessons are awesome!!!!!

MemberJune 9, 2011 at 4:52 pm in reply to: What exercises can I do to prepare for pole dancing??If you are on a budget buy the $20/month lesson subscription and the few items you need like a resistance band and dumbbells which are usually pretty cheap if you get them at walmart or target. she has a lot of flexibility and strength training moves you can do to get a head start so when your pole comes you will be all set. you can also work on floorwork too without having a pole and she has a lot of fun floorwork and chair moves 🙂
