They consider poles "toys" which is exactly what the peek-a-boo is. A toy for playing around with. Spinning around and shaking your booty for your man to spice things up. It’s not meant for real poling and hopefully people looking to buy a pole for real "poling" will know better.

I second Veena. I’m a beginner too (3 months in) and I am always in awe of people who have been poling as long or for a shorter time then me. Don’t ever compare yourself to anyone. It’ s a waste of time LOL. Just keep on dancing and as you improve be proud of what you can do! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

I wanna see! I wanna see!
I have an iphone too and use it a lot to watch pole vids during the day (because my job has banned youtube from it’s computers). I however, cant see veenas lessons on my phone or other videos posted on the site for that matter. I just get that blue lego box with a "?" mark on it where the video should be…

don’t let your weight hold you back from trying everything you want! I have seen very big girls climb a pole like a snake and do a whole lot of other stuff too! It’s about building up the strength!
Congratulations on your climb!

Here are some other spins you could work on kasanya:
Reverse Chair
Chair with one leg extended (not sure of the name of this one)
Forward Falling Spin
Backward Falling Spin
Front Hook Extended (where you bring your outside leg out and around to meet your inside leg)
Cradle Split (Cradle with your legs in a V)
Just some suggestions…try Standing fireman too!

Ok I watched the vid and I remember watching it before. It rules and you rule. Please let us know if you hear anything!

I like the idea of changing my pole workouts. Maybe not spinning and inverting everytime I pole. Maybe on my lifting rest days I can work on transitions and floor work. That sounds good…..the problem is sticking to it and not trying to spin and stuff when I’m supposed to be taking it easy lol. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

I always feel guilty that I dont spend enough time with my son (he’s 5), so today I took him swimming and let him help me make dinner when we got home and then he and I sat watching TV and eating chocolate. And now Im so glad I did all that with him after reading that poem! He was so happy all day and it makes me so happy to know that I caused those happy feelings! (A lot of happys in that sentence!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif )

I have a chrome x pole and I use alcohol all the time and have never had that problem. I also don’t recall seeing anything on the box that said to clean it… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
