You can’t change it. I had to open a brand new account and delete my old one. Studio Veena doesn’t allow screenname changes.

Is there a special reason for it ? I would be nice if it was allowed though… I personaly don’t know what I was thinking when I chose my username.. At that point I didn’t know this account would become so important, just made it to look around at first, so didn’t bother coming up with a good name.. I’m not the tech person, but yes there is a reason for it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif Not allowing user name changes is not, an usual practice, most sites wont allow user name changes. Go try changing it on Youtube. On MOST sites, you are usually required to make a new account if you want to change your user name. If a site were to allows the users to change names, then everything gets all messed up! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_shaking.gif Websites are very complex and information like user names need to remain the same or people wont get emails and updates, too many things go all screwy, and the site can’t keep track of everything like it needs to. When I first joined the site, you could change usernames and I did a total of twice. At first I was Jacq, then when I picked a stage name I went to FoxyRei_Jacq so everyone knew I was the same person. Then I went to change it to just Foxy Rei like literally the day after they changed the names to static. I put up a post about it, too, and Veena and Webmaster said they could still change it for me, so here I am.
But with new stuff going on the site, maybe they can’t be changed at all now… I dunno. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

As we’ve stated before, we don’t change usernames. There are several reasons why:
1) It creates confusion, people will not know who you are
2) Security
3) The technology base is becoming quite large and we have to maintain names accross all the pieces of the siteWe have no intention of bringing this feature back. The majority of community sites out there don’t allow it, and for very good reason. From a security perspective how do you track abusive personalities when one person tells you that joe is causing trouble, and another tells you that jim is causing trouble and they are the same person, with changed username.

I know this doesn’t have anything to do with me but it does seem like changing a username would be difficult for the site. I know they did let Foxy do it but I think she was one of the only people that asked and I very distinctly remember Veena saying she would make an exception for one or two people that time because there was no rule about it but after that incident she was instating the rule that usernames could no longer be changed.

I gotcha now. I was just confused because I missed the part where they were making it a definite rule, that’s all. I can understand why, though. The post Webmaster put up when I asked about changing mine said they were doing some new stuff that required that they stay the same, but that him and Veena could still change names so all I had to do was ask. Have you found this out? I would like to know too, as i gathered there was a "no changing" rule, so i opened a new user acc so that i had a user name I was awake for when I created it, but now i dont know how to get rid of my old one. Anyone know?
