Thanks for the info! I was debating on ordering some shakeology since I’m on day 25 of P90X (starting some INsanity this weekend too)…but once I saw how much sugar was in it I’ve kinda backed off. I’m not a fan of sugar

confidence! Confidence can make just about any man look good! But I do like athleticism, strong broad shoulders and big hands. Oh and when my hubby puts his ballcap on backwards…*gets weak in the knees* LMAO! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif He does it on purpose sometimes just to mess with me! heh

"bi-poler" wahahahahahahahaha that’s hilarious!!!!!!
first off when i started poling EVERYTHNG was a "wow" move. I couldn’t see how any of it was possible! The first moves that really just boggled my mind were the scorpio, CKR and knee hold. I think my most "pole accomplished" moment was when i got the scorpio. I remember thinking "holy crap…I can do the impossible" lmao! That is when I really knew I was hooked!

I use dry hands on the backs of my knees, elbow pit, back of my shoulder and pretty much anyother body part that might need it when the sweat seems to pour

I actually came up with it by accident…lost my balance, fell around the pole into a split and BAM!! new move! hehe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif

It could be that you have overly tight hamstrings…or you are engaging the WRONG muscle groups! When doing the boomerang are you trying to lift your legs with your legs or with your core? You really want to focus lifting your legs with your core…the same goes for inverted v…yes both moves take some hip flexor strength but it’s primarily with your core. I recommend that you work on doing your inverted V by slowly lifting into it…NO KICKING!! This causes you to really engage your core…and it never hurts to keep working on hammie flexability!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

WOOHOO!!!! The greatness of resistance stretching https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif !!

http://www.wikipole.org has a great list of moves….unfortunately they aren’t listed in order of dificulty/level. Your best bet if your learning at home is either to 1. get some dvd’s (I highly recommend Jamilla’s art of pole set) and 2. take some online lessons like Veena’s (heard they are pretty good!) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
-
it would also help to strengthen your hip flexors…as this is what you use to raise your leg up….
-
chopper-gemini-scorpio-inverted thigh hold
climb-sit-car/ckr-bow or bow-n-arrow or archer
the possibilities are endless…it would help if we had a better baseline as to what moves you can do! Intermediate to one is not always the same for someone else! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I did my fit test wed, was sore thurs and fri. Thurs night had basic pole classs, and today I worked out without the program. I am nervous abouut how the or my body can handle workout crazy especially high impact while already sore—I’m thinking I gotta work into insanity and do chalean extreme first. I’m super excited to see the changes in pole practice!
I’m doing P90X and I found that working out when still a little sore actually helps get the soreness out! As far as the recovery drink..you need to drink it within an hour of finishing the p90x or Insanity workout…that’s when your body will utilize it the most.
