Yay! glad you enjoyed your lesson…but jeez what a long warm up…hope there was some floor work in there! Not much time on the pole..but just think how sore you would be if it had been longer than 20 min??:)

The nice thing about vertical dance is that if you arent near by there is an online at-home certification you can do…I would want to be in a studio…but it’s still an option!

I don’t know how new your pole is, but i actually stripped my screws from switching too much…I called xpole and they are sending replacements.. If you can’t get them tight enough, the pole with "jiggle" a little bit. Also Azriel is right about the x’s and the way you use the allen wrench!

I’ve been actually wondering this same thing. i know Fawnia offers a training certification and so does pole cat power…but they are both pricey and far from where I live…
Same thing goes if anyone knows of one is south carolina…please let me know.

WooHOO! So I went at lunch time to about 4 different hardware stores with no luck…but I did get ahold of someone at x-pole and they are sending me replacements! YAY!

Thanks Glitter! I think I have over come part of my "funk". Well, I’ve had one with my first child (no time with the second) and I don’t have any issues. Have you talked with your doctor? Maybe your lower back muscles are just tight. I dunno. Sorry I can’t help you there. I do hope you get it figured out though, but I would think that any kind of exercise would help eleviate some of the pain….eventually! Good luck!

Welcome to the site Mica! You should check out the threads under "poles" to read up on everyones opinion….but the majority of members are using an X-pole. I have a 50 mm chrome x-pole and love love love it! Stay AWAY from pro pole, carmen electra or any pole that seems "to good to be true". They are only bad news!
How long has it been since you were poling?

My personal fav are also Pleasers. I also have Jante’s and Ellie. I don’t care for Jante as they don’t have much of support when it comes to the sole of the shoe. Ellie shoes are nice, but the ankle straps on these are too big for my ankle..so I have to put an extra buckle hole. Pleasers are by far the best in my book. I have some 7" ones that don’t feel like your wearing heels at all! Good luck…it’s all about personal preference!
