So i’ve been doing these stretches and incorporating this technique into some other stretches (I have super tight calves from wearing heels all the time) and I am a true believer!! I’ve been able to get further into my straddle and i can now lay flat while sitting in it! The day after a good stretch my hips and legs feel so loose and great!!!

Thanks ladies! It’s actually pretty interesting how the Chantix is working for me…it makes smoking taste SUPER NASTY and it starts to eliminate the cravings and you don’t get any satisfaction from smoking. I’ve only been on it for three days and when I smoked this morning I could only smoke half a cig before gaging!! I’ve also noticed that things that used to "trigger" me wanting to step out side…have started to blow over! I feel great knowing that I am doing the best thing for myself! So I typically would smoke anywhere from a half pack to a whole one depending on the day….and yesterday….I only had 6!!!!! I’m so proud of myself! And in your honor Roxy I only smoked one half of a cigarette all day yesterday…and then I didn’t really even want it ….I don’t think I really wanted it to begin with LOL. I just had one when I got off work cuz my feet were killing me and I was stressed. I took a few puffs and put it out…

lol…wouldn’t that be nice if it was contagious?? and then all of us who are quitting wouldn’t be "tempted"!! haha

Naama I’m so thrilled and happy for you!! I wouldn’t have thought that you were a smoker. I’ve read that nicotine is more addictive than heroin but I’ve also heard that Chantix is an incredible tool for quitting. My good friend used it and she said quitting was easy for her except the part of having something to hold in her fingers.
I’ll say a few prayers for you! You are saving your own life and that’s what kick-ass pole divas do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, I think you should reward yourself with a trip up this way for Karol Helm’s workshops January 9th! It’s not officially announced yet, but it’s definitely happening!

Thanks everyone!!! It’s going to be tough but that’s okay!! If I can learn to do crazy ass stuff 15 ft in the air on a metal tube then I can learn how to not smoke!! lol!!

YAY! Good for you! It is such a hard habit to give up, but think how much better your life will be without them!! and not at all to bring the mood down, but i do want you to try and keep this in mind anytime you have a REALLY bad craving… my step-grandmother just passed away this morning from cancer, caused by her lifelong addiction to cigarettes… you were 100% right when u said it is a killer… You can do it Roxy!! I’m so sorry about your grandmother *hugs*…that is one of my main reasons for quiting! Everyone in my family who smoked and didn’t stop smoking got one form or another of cancer and I don’t want to add to that!!

Iam so over being a "smoker" that I actually cry because I’m so excited to know that hopefully next week I will be smoke free! Reading everyone’s post has even made me get a little emotional b/c I guess in a way I’m mourning…but time heals right? I thank all of you lovely ladies for willing to be there for me!
I smoke any where b/n 10-15 a day…and mostly at work…not because I’m stressed but because…well honestly I can’t tell you why! But I could easily list three dozen reasons why I don’t want to! I’ve always tried to "hide" it from family and my kids have NEVER seen me light up…and I’m tired of having to hide something! Not for long!!
I plan on keeping my success posted on here!! I am holding myself accountable for it!! and I want everyone to help keep my butt in check!! lol

learning a new move is both physical and mental! Sometimes it takes a little while for the "muscle memory" and your brain to work hand in hand!
This ALWAYS happens to me when I learn a new move…
I think of it like taking a day off in between work outs so my body can repair…it’s kinda the same thing…some times you just need to take time away from it to let your brain "learn" how to do it! does that make sense?? lol
