Veena actually has a very nice video where she goes from flatinne scorpio into butterfly, however you could go into extended butterfly instead.  The combo is at 1:03

Hi joni1:  I have Shiva Rea Fluid Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga.  It is wonderful and alot of routine choices, however the Shiva Rea Creative Core + Upper Body is the one I really love.  It is wonderful for helping build upper body and core strength needed for pole dancing.

It’s a BEAUTIFUL move. I haven’t tried it with the bottom leg extended, but I’m going to soon give it a go. It’s quite a twist to get the outside arm around the pole. Be careful of the shoulder. You need good shoulder flexibility.

Hi Hilary: I’m from Truro Nova Scotia. I’m a LPN in the Medical Day Unit at Colchester Hospital. You’ll have to look me up if you ever do a rotation in Truro. This is a great site. Very friendly and very informative. May I add you to my friend list.

Hi Joni1: You can hook your outside foot to the backside of the pole and pull up into a pole sit. there is a great video on you tube that shows this. I don’t know how to post the link, so the name of the video is "Pole Dancing Exercises: How To Do Climbing Exercises In Pole Pancing". The name is deceiving but the video does show well what I’m talking about. I hope this is helpful https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I just received Jamilla’s new DVD "Routines 1" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif As usual her instruction is excellent. She has a new warm up and cool down. There are 4 routines. She shows the entire routine first then breakes it down into parts and instructs you through. Routine 1 is beginner level and each increases in difficulity to 4 being advanced. The moves in each routine seem to follow in much the same order as moves in AOP. Worth every penny!

I think yoga is the only reason I can pole dance at all. I was 44 when I started poledancing and yoga had given me the strength and flexibilty needed. Pole dancing has given me many challenges. I am now just starting moves like Aysia and Jacknife.

I am SOOO excited!!! I ordered the complete set of Art Of Pole 2 weeks ago, and it arrived yesterday from Australia to Nova Scotia Canada. Another big plus, "quick delivery". I watched level one last night. Her attention to technique and safty are excellent. The moves are broken down and well explained. You can actually do the moves with her. She is very easy to listen to as well. Worth every penny!!!

I have a 45mm at home, however use a 50mm at my class. I find the spins more challenging on the 50mm due to my tiney hands, but all the other pole moves are fine. I have found that my spins have improved greatly since I have been able to practice more at home. I can perfect my technique better on the smaller pole and as a result do better on the 50mm pole.
