Today you'll revisit the Adv. Figurehead trick and work towards increasing your flexibility for middle splits. Those who wish to practice on spinning pole will have the option in today's lesson.
Pro tip: Today's tips: Speaking of flexibility, we often associate pain with training to improve flexibility and everyone's perception of pain is different. Perception can vary from day to day, especially if you're a female. Mental state, hormones, rest, diet, hydration and genetics all affect our pain tolerance. One day a stretch might feel easy and comfortable but the next time you do the same stretch it hurts or feels very tight, as I mention in the video. Below I've provided some helpful information of things to be aware of when training:
Here are a few descriptions of unhealthy pain: Sudden, sharp, stabbing, numbness, relentless, pins and needles or discomfort near a joint and not being able to breathe calmly. This is your nervous system saying you've gone too far, risk of injury is high.
Here are a few descriptions of healthy discomfort: Pulling, lengthening, warmth, or shaking. This is your nervous system learning how to react and adjust to a new pathway.

I'm a high intermediate -low advanced poler. I was stagnating in my home training, so I decided to try the Advanced series. I have done most of the pole tricks already, but I am finding I am improving technique and finding new entrances and exits to familiar moves as I work through the lessons. I am able to create new combos based on what I am learning. The stretching and warm-ups are also helpful. Looking forward to working through the whole series! Veena, thank you for developing this program. You have a gentle way of teaching pole.
Wonderful! There are so many things to explore here so if you ever need ideas let me know. Thank you for the feedback ?
I'm so happy it was a pleasant experience! Thank you for your feedback!
Love the active middle splits lesson so much. I hate stretching and was dreading these lessons but really enjoyed both this week . I gave up on splits long ago (after buying and completing a a couple of online splits programs) but no one has ever suggested knees up. This position feels much more comfortable for me. I don't know if I will achieve splits but your training is fun and relaxing . Thanks for these videos .
I enjoyed class today - thank you!!!!
Thank you ?
