Slippery X-Pole! HELP!!

I also have a chrome x-pole, gave ip trying to use it at home cause it was too slippery. Tried buffing it with a rough scourer which helped a little, but not enough. Yesterday we sprayed it with a can of brass finish spray paint, NOT BRASS COLOURED, brass finish. It's awesome! I can grip, climb, invert etc...
I am about ready to paint my brass pole! Love the spin, the size but there is something with this cold weather that it just sweats.....literally! I had small bead of water on it today! Or I might "rough it up" a little....not sure what yet, but something!
have you tried corn huskers lyme?
Almost went to loom at Walmart today. U think it helps? U put it on ur Pole or what? Heck Cramers Hardley helps....
you slather it on your body an it makes you tacky.
Some people think I am tacky minus the Cornhuskers! LOL.....but I will try some for sure! Thanks!

AG, I have not been able to find Corn Husker's lotion in any stores for the life of me. Time to check the internet!

Have you tied steam cleaning your brass? I find all grip aids leave a greasy residue and alcohol doesn't clean it off completly
Also if you're not using a dehumidifier or a humidifier depending on what your air is like in the winter, or you're letting the temp swing a lot in the pole room, that can cause some of the sweating you're talking about.

I've had my x-pole for a couple of months and I'm pretty much on it every day in some form. I use might grip on my hands and itac2 on my body. I'll have so much mighty grip on i can't spin but as soon as I try my butterfly I slide right down. I've cleaned the pole with a micro fiber cloth, with window cleaner like the pamphlet says and even got a kitchen brush and scrub a bit with the scrub side, blow dried it to warm it up and everything and I still can only do like 2 moves in a combo before my face is in the carpet. help! lol Trying to come up with a routine. I over compensate by inverting higher, but when I get to the studio I'm in the wrong position because I don't slip there. lol
My x pole is 10 months old and I still find it slippy, more so then my older one. I tried sand papering my other one and it ruined it
Just solved my slippery pole problem. I have a xpert sport chrome pole and an xpert pro combo stainless steel pole. They were ok when I first got them but it seemed the more I cleaned them the slicker they got. I tried white distilled vinegar I tried different percentages of alchohol I tried heating up my pole I tried warming up good but to no avail I was going to get some grip aid because I was so discouraged I couldn't use my poles/ Then I thought about one thing I hadn't tried. to make my pole studio into a hot humid bar room like at the clubs where the girls are all sweaty and its hot and muggy from all the people. Also my poles worked better in the summer months when I first got them but now that's in cooler here in New England I cant use them at all. So I plugged in my Vicks vaporizer for 20 minutes in the room while I did my warm up routine. I turned it off when I was ready to pole and I stuck to it!!!!!! woohooo. Im beyond happy! Apparently I needed to make my room and my skin warm and muggy like in a bar or like the humid summer months. So no grip aid needed for me now. I am so happy.If anyone else tries this post it here please Id love to hear if it worked for you. Thanks
My pole is very slippery I even use dry hands and girlie grip to help but it's still quite slippery. I have a hard time doing basic spins and pole climbs with how slippery it is. I use rubbing alcohol to clean my pole. How can I fix the slippery issue?
What an interesting thread! A lot are saying about warming up the pole. I'm just a few short weeks I will be ordering my 45mm chrome x-stage (same as what my studio have). Warming the pole might be a bit difficult for me in certain months because I can only pole outside so it's now got me thinking a garden heater might be a good investment but personally I run very hot anyway. I live in the U.K. so humid but cool most of the time but with a few hot weeks of the year. Some great tips on here though xxx

It will all depend on why it feels slippy. If it's sweaty, greasy hands or body try an antiperspirant grip aid, AVOID waxy or sticky grip aids!!!! If the pole is cold and your hands are cool and dry... warm the pole and your body.
