Welcome to my No Pole Flow Class. The drills in this class can be done daily and we’ll work on 5 key elements of finding your own flow. The first half of this class is perfect for those who do not naturally have rhythm or flow. However, we will also learn skills to get up from the floor and down to the floor, without using a pole. We will also work on facial expressions and breath.

Item’s you’ll need:

  • A mirror or your phone camera in selfie mode so you can watch your movements.
  • Yoga strap (Optional)
  • Small fit ball (Optional)

The class is divided into 4 different sections:

Section one – Finding the rhythm. Start at minute 14:50 If you don’t need help with rhythm.

Section two (Min 14:50) – I’ll provide tips and discuss these 5 aspects of dance.

  1. Breath
  2. Circles
  3. Waves
  4. Lines
  5. Facial expression

Section three (Min 25:30) – Idea’s for getting up and down without a pole.

Section four (Min 35:09) – Together we’ll run through drills practicing all five elements of flow:

RHYTHM, BREATH, CIRCLES, LINES, and WAVES

Bonus drill (Min 54:28) – This drill takes you through creating circles with all parts of your body.

Last remember these 6 points during the class:

  1. Give yourself permission to take up space
  2. Get comfortable feeling uncomfortable
  3. Breathe
  4. Think Circles
  5. Think Continuous movement
  6. Imagine every movement creating a beautiful picture.
