Today you’ll practice aerial split grips. When working on the reps, you can choose to try all of them or pick your favorites and only practice those. There’s no need to try to air walk or do body waves from up on the pole just yet, but take notes about it while watching the tutorial before practicing the reps.

Pro tip: There is a lot that goes on when doing aerial split grips no matter the style you choose to do. Because of this I’m going to remind you that when in full, elbow, or partial (forearm) split grip, the bottom arm is never fully extended and away from the body. This places too much stress on the joints and takes away all of the power behind your push and pull. This Instagram video provides a closer look if you missed it in the tutorial and this video explains why you might twist around while in split grip.
