Please note, it’s not WRONG to hold lower, just harder. In fact, changing your grip can be a great way to target different areas of the back and biceps! Holding low is just too hard for new dancers.

  1. Oh this was great thanks Veena! I think I should probably work on my strength a bit more until I find pole holds easier. In saying that, I can actually take both feet off the ground now so I’ve definitely improved but I think I do dangle from my arm sometimes on some spins 😳
