Intermediate Level 2: Day 12
Duration: 00:25:12
Today you’ll practice getting more confident with hip hold tricks by working with the Tuck hip hold and the Scorpio.
Pro tip: If you’ve started from the beginning with the programs, we’ve been working on fundamental tricks and skills for a few months now. Are you starting to see how tricks build on each other? For example, the hip hold is actually very similar to the Scorpio—the main difference is the placement of the lower leg. Pretty neat, huh?
Allow the videos to play in order and follow along. Feel free to pause anytime you need to.
Below is a list of direct links to each full length tutorial you worked on in today’s session. Remember you only need to click on these if you’d like more help or information.
Hi! Definetely I cannot do the Inverted Lotus yet as I cannot put any of my feet on the opposite knees even sitting normally on the floor :-))… I really need to work hardly on my flexibility!!!
At least the Inverted Lotus is an optional move not something you need to know or do before moving on. 💜
😅 This make me feel better â¤ï¸
Hip hold is the important one, lotus is just a variation 🙂
Day 12 I accomplished thigh hold and almost lotus from the floor 🙌 my thigh isn’t liking this hot weather on a powder coated pole oooouuuccchhhhiiiieeee 🤣🤣🤣 love it xx
Whoot! Yeah, the weather has been problematic lol
Definitely 🥵🥵
Oh I saved the combos and the feel the power routine will definitely give them a go , I have also treated myself to a pole strap , I had my first go on it tonight an oh my it’s fun but also hard , question have you used a pole strap if so any tips would be greatly appreciated xxxx❤️❤️
I’ve never used a pole strap, they scare me lol. I’m always worried they’ll break. I think it would be fun to try if I could get over the worry of it breaking.
I thought that as I’m quite heavy 🤣🤣 but it held me , I’m just looking for tutorials, I got scared an I still do either on the pole or hoop / lollypop hopefully this will over come my fear xxx❤️❤️
I kind of feel discouraged today. I wasn’t able to land a single Scorpio today even though when I first tried it I got it (although not consistently). I understand I am still learning… As for the hip holds, I was able to do it once in a tucked position. I’m nearing the end of intermediate 2 and am wondering if I should redo it. I can’t really even do a Tammy fully. I still struggle landing a consistent Gemini.
I’m sorry you’re feeling discouraged. If it helps you to know, I’d say most people do this program a few times, or they take a break form the leveled programs to work on to the heels, or spinning pole program, then comeback to the intermediate leveled programs.
I will say it’s normal to achieve a trick the first time only to struggle with it the next few times. It’s how our minds work. I’ll often try something new, do really well, but as I keep going my performance degrades. It can be due to overthinking, fear of not being able to do it again, or neurological pathways might need more time to develop in that skill. If you haven’t see this RANT “struggling to achieve tricks” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4A7DPkJyCc&list=PLyXWQXP3dueoBWLk39F6dPoU1OT155P0-&index=5&t=4s there are some helpful concepts in there. Otherwise, it’s ok to just vent your frustration.
I listened to the rant and it gave me a lot of clarity, especially in what direction I want to go in after Intermediate 2. Thank you!
That’s great news. 🙂
