Depends on where it’s loose! If the whole things moves down by the base it’s probably the hex screws at the very bottom that are not tightened enough. If there is movement at the joint then you need the joint tool to tighten it. The joints inside show you which way to turn it to loosen or tighten.

Wow, that’s an amazing story. It was not wise of him to target pole dancers that’s for sure! I’m glad you all are ok!!!!!

This happens so much, you’re not alone and it’s ok to feel discouraged…at first! Just know that once you have the muscle memory of doing something it comes back a bit easier than when you first started learning.

The main reason behind creating the 30 day program was not just for new dancers but those who have taken time off. The best thing you can do is to get started again and not focus on where you were before but have fun with what you’re doing now. I have started over so many times I can’t even count! Remember pole can be beneficial and fun at any level so don’t focus too much on where you are, just enjoy!

I think this is pretty common when you become passionate about anything your friends aren’t. I’d say most of the people I call friends all have similar interests. It can be frustrating at first but as you do begin to make new friends with the same interests it get’s easier and the people who are important to your life stay around even if you are obsessed with a aerial!

I use to love lifting, but it’s been years since I’ve bothered with a gym membership. The majority of my training is on pole, body weight or yoga. I do have a set of heavy adjustable dumbbells at home a suspension trainer and big ball and items like that.

If you’re looking for a workout using the pole or body weight try any of my 30 day nailed it programs! I designed them so you don’t have to come up with daily routines, it’s all done for you stretching is included!!! There are lots of routines here for strength, you’ll find some good ones that are not even pole related. A lot of people like the hammock routines.

February 3, 2018 at 4:56 pm in reply to: Fear of falling/injury

Don’t worry about falling! If you always think, “don’t fall, don’t fall” you’ll set yourself up for fear and then you won’t achieve moves as easily because you’ve instilled unnecessary fear into the learning process.

I designed my lessons for people with no exercise background and of all sizes. We always start on the floor or as low as possible. Follow the order of lessons (they’re progressive in EACH category) don’t just randomly pick and choose things to work on.

Try any of the 30 day programs as well. As long as you stay within your limits and work with a crashmat you don’t have to be fearful it will only hold you back.

I’m not sure it fits with the lessons but I’ll always keep it up for everyone to use!

If you want to clean up or archive an invert I suggest the 30 day nailed it invert program. This gives you 30 days of exercises, stretches, drills and tips for inverts!

I’ve heard others have and luck with knockoff or cheaper poles. Just be sure you always check it before you use it, and know they it may not last as long as a more expensive pole.
