Does anyone know when the July challenge will be posted?
I would like to post it today….I still haven’t made a final decision yet. I was thinking Michael Jackson music? -
I know of others who find that the titanium really wasn’t much different than the chrome. I like chrome for beginners because its not as slippery as new stainless steel and not so grippy that dancing on a pole that isn’t your becomes a problem. I have a 45 and 50 both are chrome and I love my 45, but make sure to use my 50mm often or my grip suffers. Gripping a 45 is easier. If you have wrist, hand or shoulder problems and only want to pole at home go with the 45mm.
Roxy is right on here…50 mm is the standard size that you will find in clubs and most studios (at least in the US). If you are planning on taking classes or working at a club, I would stick with the 50 mm. If you will only be doing this at home..then go with the 45mm if you have smaller hands. It will be much easier to go from a 50 mm to 45 mm pole than it will to go from 45 to 50. I have heard good things about the 45mm…but personally I love the 50! There are many people who have tiny hands that do just fine on the 50mm. I think it really all boils down to preference! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

WELCOME! A surrogate of twins https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif…Wonderful, my first midwife had been a surrogate mom once. I have to ton of respect for you! Pole dance is amazing, its fun, and is a great work out. Glad to have you with us. Just grooving with the music and dancing around the pole is a great cardio work out. Nothing wrong with taking it slow. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I’m not sure that I would bother trying to work there, it sounds like you might not learn a whole lot. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif I would not want to try and teach static spins on an unusually big, car paint pole. Talk about pole burn! If teaching is really something you want to do, I would say it’s worth your time to go back to the studio you liked and take classes and possible work with them. I know its 45min away but it sounded like you really learned a great deal from them and they knew what they were doing.

Hmm lets see….My biggest beauty and body care tip…..WATER drink lots of water. Thats my least expensive quick and easy tip. Water makes your skin look better (stretch marks included) and can help you feel energized.
Oh one more I had to add..
Green tea, if you enjoy it hot or cold, before a work out it can give you a little boost and it has antioxidants! -
Public discussions of topics like this are tacky and in poor taste.
My apologizes everyone, I’ve been a bit absent from here the last few weeks due to my vacation plans and family visiting. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif But… I’m back now! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gifWith that being said, I would like to clarify that this statement was not aimed directly at the first post in the thread, it was aimed at all conversations around this subject. The questions and comments around this particular topic have made multiple people uncomfortable, and that is the last thing we want here.
If any of you have questions for me, you are always more than welcome to send me an email.
Happy poling. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Heres what happened. I cut and past this from another thread.
Last night was a tough night for StudioVeena.Com. Our primary server’s hard drive decided to die only hours after Veena and I returned from Vacation. I spent the better part of the night getting the system up and running on our backup server but did find that videos and pictures uploaded back to June 3rd are missing. Everything else is completely intact, all forum posts are here, all user and subscription data, etc…
What this means is that you will be unable to view these videos or pictures. What we’d ask you to do is to help us repopulate these missing videos. If you uploaded a video in the last month please re-upload it for us. We had some great stuff go up, especially with it being our birthday month and we’d hate to lose it.
Please post any questions or comments you might have here.
We will be working through the day to create a full hot-failover for StudioVeena.Com. This means that in the future if there is a failure, it will go unnoticed by our audience.
