I just got this one….without out the kick, from up on the pole. I’ll be doing a lesson for it once I have moved and found a new studio space. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
I’m not too sure yet how I will approach teaching it but…I will say… the lift into it really feels much different then kicking into it. There is a twist of the hips that has to happen, (butt will move toward the pole) it helps to have your legs bent as you work on this. You need a strong upper body and obliques. I was not even close to lifting into it until I started working on my obliques. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif Ohhh should mention the farther down you place your hands the easier it will be to get your butt up there! So keep the hands down by the knees…get scrunchy. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

I’m glad she said "I didn’t do anything wrong!! " Nothing wrong with pole dance even if its a bit sexy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

I think sometimes its a matter of not warming up enough, when your at home. A person can get distracted and wander off to check on this or do that….. and before you know it your cold and the pole is cold as well. In studio your focused and pole is the only thing your thinking about. You also have the added factor of all eyes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops.gif on you when in class. That can be the added boost you need to psyche yourself into performing better. As long as you warm your pole and body well, the chrome should grip nicely….but, no it wont be as nice as brass! I have a Titanium x pole and feel its very equivalent to brass so you could think about upgrading too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I give you tips for momentum for each individual lesson. Its all about proper push off with the right leg and using your body for the right momentum…..look for all new spin lessons to have slow motion too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I am expecting my TG X-Pole any day now, hopefully I can start with the May Challenge I love Spins!!! but i do want know is ‘spin mode’ cheating.
Well to me spin mode isn’t cheating at all, it just requires a different technique. BUT this challenge is spins so STATIC is what the challenge is all about. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif If your doing spins on a spinny pole your really doing holds. -

Make sure that your hands are nicely warmed up before you work on the cartwheel. You could also try stretching the hand for a minute in between working on cartwheels or inverted split grips. Then make sure you give your hands, fingers and forearms a nice long stretch after dancing too. Try not to work on this too often either…..Oh and be sure that your using your "gun" grip for that lower hand…..pointer finger pointing down and along the pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
If you have the lessons you can see a close up of the "gun" grip here. http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/2440

Hi there, yes they are in order…..the very first lesson that pops up when you enter you should watch!! It tells you how to use the lessons and does indeed inform you that they are in order. Start with the strength training section first, then move on to beginner and so on. Be sure to watch all of the informational lessons that I have in the line up of lessons https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

This is just my personal experience and its great if the Chiro works for you….I went to chiropractors my whole childhood and into my early 20s. Low back pain and knee pain……seemed like it was only a temporary fix. I would get better, then, move wrong or whatever, and back to pain again. Not until I started weight training did I have relief from my low back and knee pain. I have not seen a Chiropractor since. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I’m a firm believer in stretching and strength work. A nice balance between strength and flexibility makes sense to me. If your having chronic pain working with a Physical Therapist might be a better bet. Massage is great too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
