Hi, so I redownloaded my first vid again last night and it went in upright. I could see it in my profile and the sideway vid was gone in my profile. But this morning even the upright one was gone. What happened to it? Thanks
The server was down for just a few minutes and it must have been while your video was still uploading. Go ahead and upload it now, he’s not working on it this morning so it should work fine now. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif Thanks so much for you patients https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif As you might have notices I have a new video that isn’t working properly either, so I can’t wait until the bugs https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif are all fixed. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_colors.gif -

AdministratorOctober 22, 2009 at 3:20 am in reply to: Things to know BEFORE you buy a pole!!!My question is that i have a 10 foot ceiling and want to be able to "dance" on the pole as much as possible. With the Lil Mynx I can only "dance" on 8 feet and the top 2 feet of the pole cant be used b/c it’s unstable. With the X Pole can I dance on all 10 feet of my pole if I put the extenders on the bottom? I know someone ready to buy my used Lil Mynx pole if I get an X Pole..but I want to know this first… I dont want to waist money. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
My 50mm X pole is 12ft!! and I dance all the way up to the very top and its totally solid. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif -

Keep at it, you’ll be flying around the pole in no time! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Its totally normal to have more balance, flexibility and strength on one side. I have better balance and flexibility on my NON dominate side. When doing pole dance, ESPECIALLY if you doing it as your only form of strength work…you want to try and work on BOTH sides. I know its not easy, but a muscular imbalance can cause troubles like chronic aches and pains ect.. if your not strengthening both sides. Even if you can’t do the moves perfect on both sides at least try. You could also try adding strength training to your routine so you even out your muscle use. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

This is because doing the intense contract-relax method (called PNF stretching) actually causes little micro tears in the muscle (why do we want to do this again?) similar to weight training, so the upshot is, to get the most from your stretching (as for weight training) you should do it every two-three days to give your body time to recover after each session.
Yes, PNF stretching should be done by a professional who knows what their doing. As NickiLee88 said, its intense and should be treated in the same manor as strength training, with rest days to recover. Don’t do this type of stretching if your not familiar with it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif Thanks for the post NickiLee https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif -

Its very common, when your new or have stopped and started up again. To strengthen your hands and fingers you can squeeze a tennis ball or raquet ball or get one of these things….This will help your work the top part of the hand.
http://www.google.com/products?q=handmaster+plus&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=YI_YSvrpDofGMeX5iOkH&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=7&ved=0CDcQrQQwBgThere are also products you can buy at most sporting goods stores..Target or Wal mart might have them too….they are smaller than a tennis ball and you use squeeze it, they tend to be a bit softer than a tennis ball.
