Inverting in heels is more difficult and I really feel we should learn any new move barefoot, then move on to heels. To prepare yourself for heeled inverts practice by standing on the balls of the feet, don't cheat and let the heel touch the floor as you sweet the leg up, stay on the ball. When you can do an invert on the balls of the feet, without bouncing, then move on to heels. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I do things I've never seen often but usually you'll find out that it's already been done before. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

The Studioveena pole is a great pole for new dancers. It's a 45mm pole and this is the size I suggest for new dancers. The finish on our pole is also nice for new dancers. One more thing, remember it doesn't matter how good you are, what matters is that you're enjoying the time you get on the pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Same way. Steam when you first get the pole an to deep clean then alcohol or windex for daily use cleaning.

I use alcohol to clean my TG during practice and STEAM to really get the pole clean and grippy!

Verticali, has some great advice!
Gail, if you're ready to work on the lessons on your own remember to start with the "Getting started lessons" Place at the beginning of EACH lessons section. These lessons will tell you how often to workout and give you tips and advice on how to use the individual lessons.
Here is the first one to watch. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dd006a7-c45c-4c1e-b6b6-4a870ac37250

Nymph, I don't have dry skin issues here in Vegas! Yay! Also once I started using lubriderm lotion I didn't have as much trouble with grip in the midwest, my biggest issue now is more that my skin cools off so much that I have no sweat to help me grip. I love how well my body grips the SV pole in the cool temps. I was pleasantly surprised! We'll see how it handles sweat pretty soon because the temps are climbing 🙂
Calipolepixie, we will not be at pole expo this year, however if I'm in town please shoot me an email and you would be more than welcome to come try out the pole!!

You should also be using the upper body a lot when doing a basic climb. To aviod over using the foot try climbing with the foot pointed, it's challenging but will help you feel how to use the legs more. Keep in mind there are several methods for climbing though!
The performance climb allows you to use the inside of the knees more then a basic pole climb. Here is the lesson for the perfomance climb https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/50fd8f5a-d024-4cbb-a4df-74830ac37250
and here's another, the x ankle climb https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/f7c4b0ac-b91e-11df-856f-001b214581be

Gail12, I'll make a video as soon as I'm feeling up to it.

Yes pdr it no longer applies to the new style pole we are selling. I would think you would know better, I won’t sell just anything! :/

Athena30 both brands are great poles! But I love how FAST the SV pole goes up and down. I hoop a lot in my pole space and to be able to take it down and put it back up in seconds is soooo great. I like the powder coated grip for my body and the switch from spin to static is fast. Oh and it's light so moving it around isn't any trouble.

I think it's on the Red end of the purple spectrum, I guess Webmaster and I see things differently! It's basically our logo color.
