Yeah, all PC has a sticky/grip to it…I don’t think that the color matters, my PC poles are purple, red and black. I think it’s the process used to create the overall finish, not the color. I was able to feel and see the finish I went with. I couldn’t tell ya if that place was good or not. Feeling is the best day to know.

It’s normal for that area to get hot, be sure you’re taking a break to let your hands and pole rest. Work on something off the pole for a minute or two. If you are not slipping from sweaty hands then don’t worry about using anything…if it’s just a hot pole that’s normal. If you’re slipping from sweat, yes, you can try dry hands. Strengthening the hands is ALWAYS recommended.

Hi! Have you tried not using any grip aid? Not everyone needs it. I don’t know what the Lupit pad is for, sweaty hands or to add grip/tack? Not all grip aids do the same thing so it’s important to know what you’re using and why.
It’s normal for any pole finish to warm as the hands move around it, and it’s what you want! Stainless steal is a fine choice and with the right grip aids and strength training for the hands any finish is workable.
So first don’t use any grip aid and try dancing. Figure out if you have sweaty hands, dry or maybe the work great without any grip!

Did a workout this morning…felt tired and weak as I’ve not done anything all last week and only did filming the last few weeks now. Made some headway with editing and voice overs so I think I should be able to do real workouts this week.
Amelia That’s awesome about the Titanic!

Hi! We don’t have groups here as studioveena is about sharing and support these means keeping posts so all members can see, which helps more people!! 🥰 Imagine how many come through and feel inspired when they see posts like this!
Are you going through the 30 day program? This will help build strength and technique and keep an order to your learning.
Practice is so important, it doesn’t matter your size, building muscle memory is super helpful. I looked at your videos (you can always post the links to them in a discussion if you want) You’re doing well!! From that angle, I’m unsure if you were working on the modified pole hole with one arm extended and other bend or regular pole hold both bent? Working with BOTH arms bent and scapula back and down is what I suggest as a beginner. Until you train the scapula by using pole holds and doing pole conditioning I don’t suggest doing climbs right away. Pole hold first, then climb.
Once you’re ready to climb Taking a look at the lower leg grips will help as well https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e6a6b55-0434-43e9-a1a6-5bb5ac110005
This spinning pole drill would be helpful as well. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e2b2799-f7a8-4696-9e5e-2c27ac110005
As far as pole sit, you don’t need to cross anything as long as you’re tipping the hips enough.😊 Keep at it!

I would and explain that you want a sticky, grippy finish.
-
I looked at samples and pretty sure I went with smooth with high shine. I know the SV pole I use to sell had a double process to get the finish and it was very glossy and smooth.

Yes, when you do your transitions choose moves that keep you and your limbs moving out then in towards the pole. An extended butterfly will kill the spin every time.

The biggest thing to remember is the more fluid and sweeping you make your transitions the more you’ll maintain the spin. Every new lesson I’m uploading will have spinning pole in it. Watching those will help you understand how to control the spin. Also if you’re pole is too tight or if you use a lil mynx then the spin will slow much faster.
I’m replacing and adding to the Intermediate section this month.

The 30 day take off program does use a pole, but feel free to go through it and work on the exercises that don’t need a pole.
There are lot’s of other things you can do without a pole.
The strength and conditioning section is great and has a lot of body weight only or resistance band exercises.
https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/conditioning-exercises There are a several routines as well that don’t use a pole at all. Find them in the routine and combo section. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/routines-pole-lessonsYou could also work on the 30 days to Flexy program or floor work.
-
Totally! Just be sure to always check it before you jump on.
-
Sure, until then you can work on this one, https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e7bd457-c30c-408e-99d3-2f8eac110005 It’s less painful IMO as the legs can help hold the weight too.
-
Hi! The take off program is a pretty much a full body strength program so just keep at that. Taking extra rest days is totally fine. As long as you’re just experiencing soreness and not sudden, sharp pain while doing a move it’s normal and will get better. 🤗💜

You can lead with your butt on either of these, I just teach from chest first so it demonstrates how the motions moves down the body. I’m guessing by the end of the week if you work on these you’ll be doing far better with the forwards. Repetition is key for these!

The first plan is up!!! Let me know what you think! https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/5eac44fd-f6dc-4d8e-a491-781fac110005#bottom

Amelelia, that’s awesome!!!!
Neesy, it totally wears me out and hurts my skin the most…but it’s not the same a actual training. I did dance last night tho and it was great!!!
-
I’ve not worked out for a month. 😠Just filming, I think I might go do some light pole dance right now.
-
Hi, and welcome! Glad your’re enjoying the site!
I’d say the best way to start is just go the floor work section. If you look at the routines section as well you’ll see some routines and combos that are sexy 💜

I’ve not used a Lupit yet, but I do hear great things about them. I have friends (non of them live near me) that use their poles. They seem like a lovely company.
The strength and conditioning are exactly what you should start on even if you get a pole. 💜
