Just so you guys know…they are not Manufactured by Nike…they are a concept shoe. Nike doesn't make them so if you go to a Nike store you wont find them there. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

You can go ahead and work on transitions, floor and other moves in the beginner section now…just add it on at the end of your "beginner" full body workout. If your looking to save time (once in a while) you can do only the squats and skip the other low body exercises but be sure to do the upper body https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

@ Fuzzy…I'm glad you did like it…I was hoping it wasn't too painful. As Sassafrassie said that IT band wow it hurts!

I have some new lessons on the way that are going to focus on stretching! For now here is an OLD YT vid I posted with a few basic stretches for splits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZMEGqdgGRs&feature=channel_video_title

If your working heavily a move that is using a muscle group that tends to be tight for you, try stretching in between every attempt at that move. Also stretch the muscle group for sure at the end of your pole sessions. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Working on building up the latissimus can help make the waist look smaller. My suggestion though..is to learn to love your body. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

If anyone is worried about x poles you shouldn't be, they are great! Its all I use, in every video I make and every lesson (except my very first vids) I use x poles. I have 7 or 8 now. When installed right they are VERY secure. I have never had an x pole fall…BUT I have had my PERMANENT PS pole fall! ANY pole can fall if not installed properly.

Guys, here is a better video on what they do (what the class it about)….the first vid was kinda unclear and I assumed the studio was called "pole fitness for jesus" I thought that was so odd, because it really limits who may want to dance in that studio. But this vid explains it better. I do agree Jesses that we don't need to justify pole dance by using religion or calling it fitness. This class could be a good option for those who would feel uncomfortable in a "secular" pole setting.

ahhhh….. the video made it sound like the name of the studio was Pole fitness for Jesus LOL I was like how odd. This is why I dislike media, always making things look a bit askew….
-
Hmmmm, why does it have to be call Pole Fitness for jesus. lol Can't you just pole dance cuz you like it? Not sure what jesus has to do with it if they are not using class time to spread the word of "god" ect.
I agree Empy about both points on wearing the heels!
I feel anyone regardless of size, race, faith can pole. I think you can dance to whatever music expresses what your feeling or what you want others to feel. But calling a studio Pole Fitness for jesus is just odd.

Technically the abs will never be the same… But… You don’t have to have surgery in order to have great looking abs after babies.
To see if you had separation, lay down on your back, place your fingers on your bellybutton palm facing you. From there do a small crunch, if you feel more than 2 fingers worth of soft space then you may have had significant separation

AdministratorMarch 22, 2011 at 8:27 pm in reply to: has anyone watched the tv show the DR.s ? they so crushed my dreams lolAre they talking about muscle or skin… both? The skin for some will stretch and you'll have extra (but this can get better over time) for others, there will always be a bit extra skin. I doubt I'll ever loose all of my skin but oh well!
You can totally get your tummy back in shape though!!!!! I have sexier and stronger abs now then I did before my 4 boys! If you had abdominal separation…..the "rectus abdominis" ( 6 pack ) can have a slightly different appearance after baby. You also need to be careful about the ab exercise you do when getting back into shape. The rectus abdominis will never be the exactly the same as before baby….BUT its not a huge deal for most. Its really NOT A BIG DEAL! I had abdominal separation with my 3rd and my abs are very strong and I think they look fine! I Dislike shows like the DRs because a lot of it is hype and meant to cause ppl worry or fear about things that are not really a big deal!!! You can help elemenate the pooch look here is a vid I did about your belly after baby. https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/d650d310-c3b4-11df-bc90-001b21721e0c
