Its fun (for me anyway) to work on expanding what you know and they have a lot to offer, I feel. Not sure about any of the other certs though. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Its something I do int he lessons. The key is to do it slowly. If you have the lessons I do it in there. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4cbc4b23-b534-4d1a-9978-3b990ac37250

AdministratorJuly 19, 2011 at 2:00 pm in reply to: Sticking to pole in a bizarre turn of events …Ahhh yes, super grip! I have that going on right now too, so humid you can hardly breath outside… With any grippy pole you will find you have to be right on as far as body and hand placement because you can't just slip into the right spot once your up there. So its good because your forced to be precise, but yet frustrating. On the x poles or SS poles letting some grim build up can help reduce stickiness.

Not with the legs…..If its just the legs, have you made sure your skin is nice and warmed up before you pole. If you have a bit of sweat on them they will grip better. I have dry skin and if I'm not warmed up or if I forget to put lotion on a few hrs before poling (not right before) I can't grip.

Totally fine bringing up this old thread! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Alesha…Sounds like your in need of some Pole specific core strength work. I have some great conditioning exercises here if your taking the lessons.
Some people hear core and think abdominal work only but real core work, consists of both the abdominals AND the back, to avoid a muscle imbalance. Yoga and Pilates is another great option! It does get better!! oh here is a video you might like as well….It talks a bit about the belly after baby. https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/d650d310-c3b4-11df-bc90-001b21721e0c

Glad your back! That's great Your healing well!!! xoxo

Yep, BACE is right. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Most of the Pole Strength you can do without a pole, just use a door frame or wall instead. There are also important Conditioning lessons in the Conditioning section, that do not require a pole either. All things a new dancer should work on. You could also do the floor work lessons as well.
The Foam Roller section is structured towards using the roller for flexibility. I will be adding 2 amazing Flexibility Routines, one for Front splits and one for Middle. These routines will also incorporate the Foam Roller.

Update: The first routine will go up on MONDAY https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

@ gingercake…did you conact BK about your issues with it? I'm guessing its somthing they would want to know about. They are looking to improve and feedback is the only way this can happen.
-
Ok good! 🙂 I didn't want you feeling like I was trying to force you to buy lessons!! I know your internet isn't optimal for video. I just was responding to issues you had with other dvds so others could see I had addressed those in my lessons. I'm very proud of the work I have done for all of you. xoxo
-
Oh that would be!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Wanna make sure your not thinking I was posting the links just for you Nymph…I posted them so others can see what I offer……
-
Ahhh sooo cool!!
-
I don't use 8 counts…because most ppl are not use to that.
-
Oh I should add each routine is split into sections so you can learn one section and work on it for a few days then move on to the next!
-
My lessons are set up so you don't HAVE to watch…I tell you what you should do. You watch first, then listen while doing, that is how they are designed https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

There are around 350 lesson!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I have Full length routines Jamillas are shorter but good, I don't know about any of the other dvds. My routines are all round 1:30 and I break down the routines and have slow motion for them as well. I have a Pole Strength routine that is a full workoutl…I think its about 15-30 mins Depending on the level of difficulty you choose. I also have Foam rolling lessons, and 2 NEW stretching routines 20 mins EACH for stretching your splits. They will be posted next week. There are transitions and floorwork too. And ever so important conditioning work just for pole dancers https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifHere is a sample of a beginner routine (the instructions are not included, was too long for YT at the time) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GoiX0lvguE&feature=channel_video_title
Here is list of all the routines I have so far….

ahhh yes thanks Ottersock. See I didn't even remember what I did with the other leg!!
-
Use a foam roller too! Hope you heal quickly.

I have only done it a few times, it was a while ago…let me think…..well I think my top hand was up nice and high and so my torso was a bit more upright than normal, in my superman. The pole was not near the crotch I do my superman farther down the thigh. It was more about using the bent leg and locking it against the pole so you can stay upright. You'll need shoulder, back, hip flexor and quad flexibility for this one….I'll have to try it again sometime to really be of much help. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

No I don't…I think Descalzada meant Superman Spinhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif… I don't have a superpain lesson, but I don't think its that painful either https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Ladies, thank you for making us aware of the issues you've had with the poles.
Empy, thank you for standing by a product you love.
If anyone feels the need to continue this subject please email each other, or X pole. Thanks.

Tennis Balls!!! You can use them to strengthen your hands and they are CHEAP. I'm not sure if you have the lessons here but I'll give you the link to a few exercises using them!
https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/b9b362ac-b880-11df-856f-001b214581be
The basic idea is to first hold the ball with the palm up and then squeeze and release, this can be done with the whole hand or one finger at a time…then you can turn the hand palm down, (you'll have to keep the thumb on the ball so it wont fall) and do the same. Focus on lifting the fingers high off the ball. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif
