Yes! That’s great 😄

You could try To foam roll before and work on pointing the foot daily or anytime you pole. The more you practice the more natural it becomes. As mentioned don’t curl and scrunch the toes. This lesson shows you how to point the foot correctly. 😊 https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/50c8ace5-5db0-439e-828c-6a350ac37250

I usually hoop daily or use hooping as my warm up for pole dance. Pole dance is far more strenuous on the body then hooping so when you’re beginning stay with 3 times a week at the most, leaving a day of rest between the pole sessions. Resting allows muscle to recover and grow. If you are taking the lessons here you may want to try the 30 day take off program, it will give you a guideline to follow including when to stretch, strengthen, work on pole work. Add in hooping where ever you like!
Here’s the getting started video for the 30 day program https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4KzMIIbZH0
The 2 videos below the 30 days have helpful tips for pole sessions.

In no way should a beginner be inverting 🙂 I was just trying to understand what you are doing. You should not be jumping into a pole sit either, I would suggest working on pole holds, this will allow you to build up strength so you can support your body weight allowing you to lift your legs up as slowly as you like 😊

I like a slightly glossy finish, but really you’ll want to be able to feel a sample and choose, you might like something else.

Before inverting with heels, work on inverting from the balls of the feet, if this goes well then move onto heels. If inverting from the balls of the feet is challenging work on that until you become comfortable. The technique when inverting with heels should be the same as without. Having a very strong side pole hold will be more important when you invert in heels because it will allow for more control when you feel like a deer on ice wearing heels. If your not using the side pole hold method for inverting then you may be relying too much on using the force of the feet to bring you up. If you have the lessons check out the Basic invert lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/50eafb60-e868-4d1b-bc49-75780ac37250
