Check the position of your pelvis!! If your tipping it forward or backwards as you lift? This can cause pain. Also when your doing conditioning or strength work always stretch after, to help maintain muscle length.
Try working on theses Pole Leg Lifts https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4db34cf5-c2bc-4c39-9487-24560ac37250whiile holding a neutral pelivs.

Yes Legend your right. The move I first posted was starting on one side then flipping over to the OPPOSITE side. You can do a Full Cartwheel and Full Roundoff on the SAME side of the pole as well. The top hand should be holding the pole tumb down/true grip. There sould be no twisting of the wrist for any of these moves.
Here is an old video of me working on the full cartwheel and Round off …I show the difference between the two towards the end of the video. 4:20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVI52As_K3Y

Ok loving these, I'll make the "official" post tomorrow for the challenge. Please feel free to post some more song ideas. I like the thought of both older and news songs, one of each.

Mine would be the True grip X, Adv Ballerina, and I made some great progress with my handstands and back mobility!

Oh and btw, Veena means "A musical Instrument" this is perfect because when I dance I feel as though my body is the musical instrument.

This is great!
OK lyme lyte, this is for you https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I used the name Veena for my alias on my first Sinbabylk Youtube account. I was only weeks into pole dance and wasn't sure if I wanted anyone to know my real name. When I started the website, I decided I should stick with the name Veena so my Youtube fans could remember the websites name. There's a bit more to this story…..The name Veena, had come from an amatuer night I once participated in. This was before I knew people could pole dance at home, and before I ever started pole dancing. Anyway, I had to come up with a stage name that night. I'm awful with thinking up names, but I had the Neena and Veena belly dance dvds and the name Veena sounded so pretty. It reminded me of my favorite color purple, so I went with that!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I like the thought of classic but I’ll need your help everyone! I’m awful with song names.

Ahh i see…do what you feel comfortable with. Some moves will come easier for certain dancers so it’s ok to give more advanced moves a try. I’ll tell you if you need to have mastered a previous move in the lesson if it’s nessisary 🙂

Here is the first Upper body lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4efc8e72-b3a0-49fa-bea0-3d490ac37250

Yes, the lessons are in order and there are "getting started" lessons for each section. These will give you tips and help you plan your workouts. If English isn't your first language you can take a look at the descriptions for each lesson and translate that. In the discription I list how often to perform certain exercises and again, provide tips for setting up a workout routine. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

The first upper body will go up tomorrow!

Polefairy, I have never used a 40mm, but I have used a smaller 38 and liked it. There's some adjustment when performing some leg grips (not all) things like the adv Ballerina are much easier on a smaller pole! I really never use my 50mm poles anymore. I plan on getting the 40mm at some point. I think you would like it.
-
Hi Riddle, to answer the question you asked…… I would contact Xpole they should be able to give you more info on the availability of the new 40mm. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Oh something to try if your body and climate is cold and dry… A humidifier. I used my fabric steamer the other day on my pole ( to clean it ) and then left it running in the pole room and used it a bit on my body ( holding it far away so I didn’t get a steam burn ) but it worked so well. Lol
