You'll need to do strength work more than once a week if you want to see gains. If you take a look at the descriptions for each lesson you'll see how often I suggest doing them. Also be sure you're going in the order I have the lessons presented, always starting with the Getting Started Lesson. In addition to that, you'll want to work on the conditioning lessons as well.
Have you tried the 30 day take off program? I tell you exactly what to do for 30 days.

Hi Morganriley, What else are you doing besides pole holds and pole ups? Have you added in other strength and conditioning work specifically for shoulders, forearms, and hands?

Palace is correct 🙂

The girls are right about the poles! Yes, the lessons here are perfect for all levels! You don’t need to have any prior pole experience or super strength and flexi ness 🙂 a lot of new dancers like the 30 day take off program included in the lessons here. https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/50e4694e-a85c-4fa0-8e66-61940ac37250

I think many "stripclub" moves have their own difficulty level to them so downplaying those isn't really cool or accepting either. It's not easy to shake your booty!! LOL People have been aware of pole's in strip clubs for a looooong time and I don't think they've suddenly forgotten about those clubs because we have turned the use for a pole into other expressions, as well. So, when a dancer uses a pole in what some might perceive as sexual it doesn't "undo" anything. The strip club was there before and I bet it will still be there in the future.
I didn't start poling, teaching or even this website to "change" the publics opinion on what pole dancing is. I enjoy all styles of pole dance and there is room for all styles. I pole because I LOVE it.
I personally was not impress with the video, it was a little predicable and a honestly kinda boring. The pole dancers did a nice job though! I would love to see more acceptance of ALL styles in the pole world.
For everyone else here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehcVomMexkY

You’ve come to the right place! I have very in-depth individual lessons for splits along with 2, 20 min routines!
Here’s the getting started flexiblity lesson http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=B1ZZE2GTBiQ&feature=plpp and a free lesson with tips for middle splits http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0Lv6af4pKQ8&feature=plpp.

If it’s pain take a break. If it’s just sore then this foam roller exercise should help. Make sure you cross your arms to really reach the middle of the back. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4efc8e72-b3a0-49fa-bea0-3d490ac37250

The scale can be so deceiving, I don't suggested judging by only that. If your clothes still fit then it's probably not a problem.
Sounds like you have a great plan so far! The body likes variety so changing things up is key. Try 1 or 2 weeks of conditioning muscle groups used during the session, followed by stretches for those muscles. Then change it up after week 2, by conditioning before freestyling, or by conditioning muscles not used in the session.
With the flexibility training,(heavy stretching) again changing things up is good. You could do splits, and back 2-3 times a week. Then the following week switch to splits and back on different days. Remember you can gently stretch after any workout. 🙂
As long as you are not working or heavily stretching the same muscle groups 2 days in a row you'll be fine. Keep a blog or write down your training sessions so you can look back. This will help you decide what your next week will look like and you can change it up! 🙂

All of the above!

ISis, you're thinking of two different things. There was a post about a SV "challenge" for abs, here is the video of moves for the challenge, the link with the calendar for the challenge is in the video description. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhDQzOk4weM&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLyXWQXP3dueofybLatPPuLCbvfSPF2oSF
My reply to Mummy was referring to a "program" that is included in lessons. It's called the 30 Day Take off Program. The program is FAR more involved then the ab challenge. With this program everything is presented for you for 30 days. I tell you when to rest, what conditioning, strength and pole work to do and stretches too! It also included tips. Here is the video for the Program. 🙂 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4KzMIIbZH0&list=PLyXWQXP3dueofybLatPPuLCbvfSPF2oSF

Mummyof3 If you've taken the lessons here, a good option is to use the 30 day take off program as a guideline. Just change out the pole work for whatever level you're at.
I recommend working on new moves 10 times then move on to something else to avoid excessive bruising and overuse injury.
Doing a freestyle for a whole song a few times a pole session you'll probably be getting some good cardio through that. If you do freestyle as a warm up make sure you avoid moves that heavily involve the forearms and shoulders until you've warmed up.

You don need a pole, feel free to do chair, floor, wall, or hula hooping instead!
-
You mentioned you also pole sat home. Are you taking the lessons here? There is no reason to feel you should invert on a timeline. To have a long healthy pole life you want to build strenght first then worry about things like inverts. There are tons of beautiful thing you can do that do not require inverts 🙂

Talk with your dr or midwife and if you have the ok, I suggest staying on the safe side, even in early pregnacy. In a performance situation you aren’t using a familiar pole and you’re dealing with other distractions so keep it within your total comfort level. IMO Congrats!!!!!!

Titanium!!!! Powder coated is my fav, but titanium is next for me!

Well it could be possible for I a shorter stage pole to maaaybe be faster. It seems the more pole the more wobble is possible on a stage, slowing it down. But that’s just a guess! Lol it really shouldn’t change though unless you climb up high.
-
Down low on stage poles tends to be fast. However they can slow down sooner then a mounted pole once you start climbing high and moving around because of the wobble they all have.
