I wanted to update everyone on this very old thread. The Training course is now current with all of the latest updated lessons. I’ve also added a few important new aspects of training with important shoulder health, information.
You will use the same link as before to download the newest version.https://s3.amazonaws.com/studioveena.assets/method.pdf

Oh, on sending quick healing vibes! I hurt my low back (shaving our poodle) then re injured it last week, so it’s been super annoying.
You could try sitting in a chair or fit ball against the pole to do the leg raises! The sitting twists are actually killer and a great mod.

Awesome, thanks for the update!

Let me know if it helps!

Hi! Here’s a quick tips video I made as there’s not a lot to it but his should help. https://www.instagram.com/reel/COF3VZFhkx7/?utm_medium=copy_link
Something that will really help is to work on your foot/ankle strength! Try this routine 3 times a week to see an improvement! https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e8cf630-8828-44b3-8749-3f84ac110005

I wear a small. I’m just over 5 foot 7 1/2 inches tall.

Hmmm here’s the floor work section https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/Floor_work maybe you’re looking for the crazy legs tutorial?

Awesome, I hope it helps!

It’s looking good to me! It’s really just a matter of practice. If you feel you lack ankle strength give the foot and ankle routine a try. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e8cf630-8828-44b3-8749-3f84ac110005 do this 3 times a week to see improvement!

Did my suggestions help?

So, when you first move into the inside leg hang is looks great. The majority of the grip should be the thigh. Opening the hip will only be secure and comfortable if you move into long scorpio and drop and turn your torso away from the pole like shown in min 5:08 https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5f1f9d00-94a0-4c63-9b9e-0f34ac110005
So the shifting (opening the knee out to the side) is detrimental to this pose. I think I mention in the lesson how it’s much like a tuck hip hold. Keep working on the hip hold and scorpio and the skin will get use to the pole pressing on it.

Just copy and paste a link or upload a video on the video uploader here…you cont directly upoad to a discussion

The best way to help would be if you could upload a video. Otherwise the only advice I can offer is what you’ve heard in the video lesson for it here. Trouble shooting is more accurate with a video 🙂

Nice to see you back, stay healthy!

The green pair in this video is the amount of grip you’d be looking for. Min 5:40 is where I talk about the leggings https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/60184b29-b1d8-4480-b824-7441ac110005

The free version is right at the top of this thread…it’s the written version giving you the sets, reps and how often to do everything. If you’re not familiar with the suggested video you can use anything you like that coincides with the suggested muscle group. So you can use this plan or any other VIP plan, with whatever videos or exercise you like.
If you want to see the videos you need to be a paid member.

Hi welcome to pole!!
As a new dancer I highly suggest starting with the 30 day take off program as I’ll address a lot of things new dancers should know in the first 4 beginner programs. Youtube is fun but there’s no clear direction as far as skill building in a progressive manner like I provide in my programs. Randomly learning tricks doesn’t build a solid foundation for learning. You’ll progress safer and faster using a plan.
Sounds like you’re trying to do a sexy squat? https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e8fcdec-2a68-4bf8-a493-0b4eac110005
This lesson will also give you great info on how to use the hands instead of just relying on skin. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e8fcdd7-8280-4af9-be9e-0b5aac110005
Let me know how it goes.
