I would love for everyone to use the chat room here, is here for all of you! 💜

I saw some beautiful affirmations in your list and I know others will find them uplifting as well! Thank you for sharing with us!

I use my phone and iPad a LOT. For the lessons I use a far more ‘fancy’ canon camera. If you have a video capable phone it’s super easy to upload to the site directly from your phone or tablet.

I feel the most important thing is to at least TRY every new move on BOTH sides, just because you feel you have a stronger or more flexible side doesn’t mean you should only work with that side, you may surprise yourself when it comes to what feel more comfortable, if you try both sides! Once you get into more advanced work, still try both sides but then stay with the side the feel most comfortable.

You guys all know we have a chat room right here with video capabilities right!?

I don’t think I ever said it can’t be done on a 50? I was stating that indeed a smaller pole can help if you don’t have super amazing flexiblity. The tiniest bit of increased distance on a larger diameter can create a challenge😉

I like Mika and Target, bikini tops work well too if you have a smaller chest.

Do not kick or jump into inverts and be sure that you have a solid side pole hold and a good understanding of how the scapula works. Please take a look at the Basic Invert lessons if you are taking them. Also this video will help you.

Posting to this old thread…we have a gallery here! 🙂 You’ll find a lists of AKA names and even links to the lessons that are available for each move https://www.studioveena.com/galleries

Yes, I worked on it from a scorpio, my suggestion is to use the skinniest pole possible! lol Mine is not great at all, I couldn’t let go, and I haven’t done this since, but this was the closest I’ve ever gotten. I was able to get this far because it was done on a 38 mm here in Vegas a few years back. https://www.studioveena.com/photos/view_photo/4ec82461-4484-40f0-aa16-566e0ac37250

There’s no correct side to invert on, you should be working on inverting on both sides 😊
-
Reyn, maybe we can convince some of the guys here to post more videos!!

I’m so pleased to see you’re enjoying the lessons! It sounds like you have a great plan for your poling sessions! If you have questions along the way feel free to ask!
-
Why are you not able to let go? Do you feel like you’re falling back, legs slipping, arms in the wrong position to release? A video would be helpful.
-
Also if you’re working on middle splits here’s a video with tips for that.
-
Yes I have 2, 20 min routines for splits stretching also you’ll find many individual lessons that are more in depth and cover placement in order for you to get the most out of each stretch!

Hey guys, if you want to help protect your ribs please take time to learn how to properly do pole holds, this will give you a correct starting point for inverts and can save you from rib pain and other issues. This video shows 4 easy exercises for scapula and proper placement for the Side Pole Hold used when inverting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ3V_2DsxgE&list=PLyXWQXP3dueofybLatPPuLCbvfSPF2oSF

I’m guessing you’re not alone on this and I bet it’s not as bad as you think. 🙂

Everyone is different. Often if you’ve been training for months you can keep rest days to 1 or 2 days a week, however, I still suggest watching which muscle groups you’re using each day so you can avoid over lapping muscle groups too often. So if I were to run, I would not do a leg strength day the next day, I would strengthen legs the same day as my run, or have a day of rest between.
If you are feeling low on energy then check to make sure you’re eating well, sleeping well and if so it may be time to cut back for a week. The body needs time off and taking a full week, while it sounds like a bad idea, can be wonderful for progress. Listen to your body.
I use to train super hard and now I feel life is short and I want to enjoy it, so I don’t want to feel run down all the time or sore. I’m now in better shape then when I pushed hard for weeks on end. Unless you’re a professional athlete and you have to workout, try to space things out so you don’t burn out!
