I like to try and put a twist on ‘basic’ pole work, that’s how I come up with many of my new combos. You’ll find several ideas on my profile here and on my Instagram account. My goal when I try to come up with new idea’s isn’t to go for death deifying or crazy flexy, but maybe a new way of entering, exiting or combining moves we are familiar with.

You can’t use the video function with a tablet or phone.

We still have our Chat room here with video too. 🙂

Something that might help would be to practice as if every session is your performance. What I mean by this is when you practice, make sure you’re always fully extending, pointing toes, not rushing though movements. This way it’s second nature to do these things.

Nice! Thanks for the tip 😄

I haven’t been able to make it into chat on Fridays so everyone seems to have stopped using chat here. The chat room is still there and you can see multiple video feeds too, would be nice to see it being used again! 😊

Then you’ll have to delete them individually.

You should watch the Getting Started in the stretching section first https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dd66731-eab0-4b4a-aa13-41ad0ac37250

No convention this year.

Yep under routine they are also placed at the end of the stretching section, because you should watch the individual lessons first. They have in-depth information in them on proper body placement to get the most out of each stretch.

It does take more strength to hold a Marley without pulling on the foot, so give yourself some time. If you take a look below the main lesson player, you’ll find ‘related’ lessons below. Working on these lessons will help you build up the strength and flexibility needed for the lesson shown on the main player. 🙂

If you are just looking for new ideas that do not require contortion level flexibility, I do post often to our SV, FB page and my Instagram account with my variations on things. Many of the clips are on my profile here as well.

If you are not a new dancer this program can still be used by a more advanced dancer. You would just replace any of the pole work for more advanced pole work, then you would have a daily outline to follow.

Robin, if you are new to planks start with arms straight, when this becomes easier then place the elbows on the floor. They are both correct 😉

I know when I freestyle I’ll gravitate towards using moves I’ve been working recently. The best thing you can do is practice doing freestyles!! 😊 https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/52a09793-a94c-4545-9789-78b10a9aa0eb
