Aww I wear my pole bruises with pride! Lol. I am still a newbie and I’ve noticed the bruises are a lot less now on regular moves – new moves do create new bruises though! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Thanks ladies,
I will have a look at the Veena and PoleSkivvies shorts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Good idea about looking in places like New Look aswell!

Lol we deffinately do like helpful sellers like that! I still don’t know if I will dare to wear them to class though! One lady went in some control pants last week! Lol they were actually quite good!
-x- -
Yeah I really like the logo too! I also read the question that someone asked and the seller said if she sends a medium and they don’t fit she can change them for a large or small! That is good to know because I do like to try before I buy! Lol.
Might invest in some of those next week when I have a spare tenner! I like the pink ones https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Ah thanks hun, I’ll go and have a look on Ebay now!
Our pole school sell their own skirts and vest tops but not sure about the shorts – the vest tops are £11.50 at discount price though so I can imagine they would be quite expensive from there! The little skirts that a lot of the girls wear with shorts underneath are nice but our instructor said eventually these get in the way and you spend more time trying to tuck them in your shorts so she doesn’t bother with them anymore.
I’m the kind of girl that likes to try things on before I buy – I’m picky about material lol.
Thanks for the tip though, I will go and search now – and I’ll let you know if I find any other sites etc! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

We learnt this in this weeks lesson and I found it easier than the pole sit. Has anyone else found this? It is much less painful anyway – I think the only reason I could split my legs was because it hurt less than gripping them lol.
I suprised myself by doing it though! Wish I had a pole to practise on at home https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Yey well done for getting upside down! I remember that feeling! It really does come with practise when you get up and stay up – I’ve only just started managing this and its been gradual.
The other girls are right about the bruising though and you really do have to PUSH that grip SO hard! Harder than you ever think you could grip! So that it hurts! Lol sometimes I think I push myself too much now I think about it!
You will get there eventually though hun – we are all learning just like you https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hi and welcome!
I wish I had thought about preparing for pole classes before I started, I thought my upper body stregth was better than it turned out to be! Lol. Deffinately try doing push-ups and some handstands against walls – this can help with your shoulder muscle building aswell as getting used to holding your own weight.
Hope you enjoy it here! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hi, and welcome!
I am new to pole dancing too but I already love it! Can’t wait to get my X Pole! At our classes we tend to have to clean the pole a lot to help with the grip and smetimes use chalk if the grip is really bad. I always seem to be wiping the pole down so it’s not just you https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Hope you enjoy it here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I am in the UK and have only just started pole dancing. I go to lessons every week and have been going about 2 and a half months now. I can’t believe how much I love it – I look forwards to my lesson every week and can’t wait to get my pole for my birthday (not until November though!).
Do you find pole dancing quite easy after doing so much yoga? You must be super flexible! Hehe. I am trying to improve my flexibility at the moment https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I am also a newbie to the pole (about 8 weeks now) and I’m 24! I feel like I have missed out so much and wish I’d discovered this earlier but atleast we have found it now! I love it too! Can’t believe how much really – I’m usually a quitter when it comes to hobbies lol.
