https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif my foam roller! Mine really helps my shoulderblades and calves. Since doing Insanity, my calves are really tight so I try to roll them out before I start the exercise which does a world of difference.
Also use Veenas roller lessons, Ive gotten some good insight on using mine on different parts of my body.

I had the CAR a few times, but I wouldnt put it in a routine until I was comfortable doing it.

Im a 42DD, and it freaking sucks! I really want a reduction but Im going to hold off and see how much cup size I lose working out and go from there.
For sports bras I wear normally Under Armour (local company for me) and I have one Lululemon bra. I like them both and are comfortable and supportive. But I need something that doesnt give me cleaveage 24/7 when I work out. Ive been wanting a mika bra but nothing is ever in my bra size.
Ive been tinkering with the idea of creating a sportswear line for women with larger chests. Like you I feel like when you hit 38D and higher you options get really limited and takes the fun out of shopping for athletic clothes. I sketched some stuff months ago but I really need to get back to it and try and create a line with it.

OMG, where do I start! So many of us! Not only myself but Roz The Diva (I just love her! She was Luenells body double in Thats My Boy), Lori from Confessions of a Twirly Girl, Loveracing25 (shes on YT) – Ive watched her progress over the years really well. Theres some girls in the UK as well.
Never feel discouraged b/c your not 'standard issued sized'.
When I came back after having my son, it was hard at first. I thought it was like riding a bike, and I could just pick up where I left off of. I did start kicking myself for not doing beginner stuff while I was pregnant. I worked my butt off and lost about 70lbs after my son was born. I went into the OR to deliver him at 316lbs! But I worked and worked and I got better. The best part of it all is everyone is encouraging you keep going and push it!

MemberDecember 10, 2012 at 5:52 am in reply to: what style of dance best complements pole?I come from a background of competitive cheerleading. For me, it helps with timing and when to give the attitude that comes with the song choice. (find my Floor/Chair routine from Ms Xpose 2011 on YT, the ending pose says it all). I also had to learn to point my toes and how to hit key points on music.
I took dance all through HS (Modern, Ballet, Jazz and Tap) which gave me a good ground work to work on. Ballet is the homebase of dance. So many elements evolved from ballet to other dance styles. I really want to take a hip hop class – just pure fun and not having to worry about some one telling you that your pointed toes look like crap.

I met alot of the Poletential staff at PoleCon. They really made me feel welcomed to the studio anytime (im on the East Coast, so I could show up if im on tour).
They make headphones that claim they wont fall out, even when your upside down. They are from Yur Buds. They retail for about $30. I have them on my Christmas list. But when I had open time, we usually just shared space. I always brought my ipod and a CD copy incase I was the only one there. But If I wasnt I would use my ipod and speakers and keep it a moderate level as long as the other person did the same.
Again as someone said, its a liabilty against the studio if someone hurts themselves not in a class setting. I know at my former home studio, we would sign a waiver stating we understood there was no instructor and they were not liable for any accidents that happened. I know when we had open time we would help each other with routines and if we are stuck in a move.
As for your personal belongings, I would just tell them your just particular about your stuff. It shouldnt be a big deal. Its not like your plopping your stuff down next 3 poles and making it harder for people to dance to.

I was regualy attending Xpose Fitness in Hanover, MD. Ive also taken classes at the Towson, MD location and do drop ins from time to time at the Annapolis, MD location. I prefer Annapolis over all of them for personal reasons. Ive also taken classes at Pole Pressure in 3 of their locations. I havent visited the new location yet but from looking at pictures – its so pretty!

It used to bother me now I read them so fast that they dont bother me. Or my personal fav is when they comment on a video that is 3yrs old! Im pretty sure my body shape has changed over the years.
Over the years ive gotten comfortable about being curvy/plus sized. Does it hurt being called fat? Oh course it does but im not going to hid away from the world b/c one person called me a tubby, tubby.

I am looking for one MLP. My daughter is obsessed with them. I am looking for Lulu Luck for me of course! I saw her once or twice at the store but didnt pick her up.
As ive polietly told my IL's, refer to my Pinterest wish list. My IL's have a big problem of only buying something similar to what I asked for. Last year I got a knock off Coach bag that fell apart within a few months. I dont know how much she paid for it, but Id feel bad if she spent over $30 for it. Im also known to exchange my gifts if I dont want it. Why let it clutter my house??/ I always try to ask for money b/c id rather pay the bills and get ahead than end up with stuff I probably wont use. My IL's and my parents hate when I do this.

Id also like my laptop CD drive fixed. The control arm that prevents you from putting in 2 discs is busted and makes a really annoying sound.

@chem yes there is some pole dancing from time to time on True Blood. Its at Fangtasia which is a bar for fang bangers and vamps to meet up
I think Trisha Paytas (from AGT) was in Zombie Strippers. I know she said something about doing a zombie movie but I dont remember which one.

I cant get clips b/c YT is blocked at work but
Thats My Boy – Luenell is a stripper but Roz 'The Diva' Mays is her body double in all the pole shots
Season 1 episode of Suburgetory (ABC) – they have a PTA meeting and they are trying to convince the only dad to get off the PTA. They bring in an X stage and start doing tricks.

The only time it isnt is when minicoopergrl is taken (which is rare but has happened) My FB profile has my real name and 99% of the time no one ever spells it right. But you can also type in Lulu Minicoopergrl and I pop up as well on FB.

MemberNovember 5, 2012 at 6:08 am in reply to: Pole: Seeking advice from girls with thick curly/frizzy hairThe Wen formula is going mainstream. You can buy Wen at Sephora now, but lots of the main drugstore brands are starting to carry thier version of Wen. You can also buy a version of it Sallys too. Im a Sallys addict, I get most of the hair stuff there.
Ive been using Wen since June. I have very thick hair that I keep it short b/c it will weigh my head down. Also being a colored red head, I preserve my color by washing it 2-3 days/week. Ive noticed I can go longer between colorings now as well.

MemberOctober 25, 2012 at 6:06 am in reply to: About to start teaching, I have some ?’sAlso check with the studio your teaching at. They may have a idea in place on how they would like you to teach classes. I know when I was going to Xpose we had a warm up and then we would learn a routine and if there was new stuff being taught we would spend more time on those things. Then the last 5min was routine time and cool down.
Im a HUGE postive reenforcer! I try to encourage people to push themseleves or just let go if they are scared. I will always be the first person to cheer for you when you get a new move.

for those who are interested in Eating Clean, also try http://www.thegraciouspantry.com She makes a lot of favorite foods but cleans them up. She has TONS of recipies from breakfast to cookies! She has a young child (mini chef) and she keeps him in mind while making her recipies and has tips on how to get your kid involved with helping cook the meal.

I have to say I really consider myself lucky being able to have a job where they are very accepting of pole and what I do. They have never seen it as a 'stripping' side gig. Heck, my boss is crazy in love with Steven Retchless and encouraged me to take one of his classes in NY!
Most of my coworkers are on my FB and while ive dialed down the pole posts (I had one person block me from their feed b/c I post too many pole things – hey its the only thing ive got going on people!), they are still cool with it. The best is when newly hired people find out who I am. One our new people found my AGT audition and was shocked it was me!

While im not an instructor, I can give you a story about loyality. I was very loyal to my studio for YEARS! I promoted them constantly and was always taking class. The owner knew who I was as well. Then, the top instructor left to open her own studio 30min away in a different city. I also supported that instructor in her new business venture as well and occasionally took class there too. Thats when I got burned from my 'home' studio. There was always a tift between the owner and I becuase I supported other studios and helped people find a studio close to their home. Then I became more and more reconizable (we all know why) and the owner and I were both at a public even in which she completely ignored me – never bothered to say Hi. That was the final burn, I wont go back there – I refuse to! I cant be around that nor promote someone who is like that.
I think as an instructor, you should go out and try new classes/studios. Being an instructor is like being a teacher – you never stop learning! Theres always new things to learn, new tip and tricks to teach your clients. Plus how often do you get a chance to pole for yourself??? As an owner, I would encourage it! I would want the best instructors and if that means they get time to themseleves to be better pole dancer to share with clients, then go for it!

Rara I gotta email you shortly! I want one of my daughter so I can use it for my spirit shirt for her competitions!

Reading ME tips, gave me lots of flashbacks of organizing my Battle. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Lots of hard work but totally worth it in the end. I have been in the audience watching the performances and thinking that alot of these people its thier first time peforming ever! Let alone pole dancing! To see those faces and say they had such a great time and want to come back next year just makes all the blood, sweat, tears totally worth it.
Yes, your gonna have studios who will not participate (or ones with mulitple locations where one location wants to but the owner of the business says no). Thats ok, thats thier business to make that choice, but some of them will show up and support you (gotta love this pole community).
Promote, promote, promote! FB page, website, word on the street. I had copies of my flyers that were posted everywhere. I sent some to studios to post, my sponsors to put on thier websites, friends passed them out. I even posted one at my local Starbucks but someone took it down.
