It would be really nice if my cats would stop strutting by and sticking their tails in my face (and in my nose) when I'm practicing my splits. Every time, without fail!

Thanks for the review Aviva. 🙂

I did say mixed feelings. It's one thing if a girl decided this of her own volition, but at the same time I feel like the very young (just turned 18) may not even be done developing on many levels to make a decision that they might not have even considered before being possibly made to feel like they 'needed' it. I dunno. Just makin conversation.

My cats love to saunter around when I'm on the pole too. Here's my theory, direct from dream-dictionary.org: "Cats are symbols of femininity, prosperity, sexuality, and power." Birds of a feather, they flock together.

My experience at local clubs echoes the same as the others' here. Usually only one, maybe two girls has any pole tricks up their sleeves. As for the rest, we're lucky if they even point their toes whilst they shove their bits in the faces of custies at the tip rail. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
@Safire, are you THE Safire?

I find it perverse and strange just how badly I wanted to hit a 'like' button to Runemist's response post to Sanchara. It's nothing personal, just like Facebook.

That's a good tip, katana. I'm right handed too, so usually by the time I'm done with the right eye I'm already halfway to impatient and totally futz the left side. This should help!

Don't know how much this counts for but I've been offered go-go work on four separate occasions at clubs and venues but I'm not sure how to interface w/ these promoters without an agency to secure my safety and pay. That said I would LOVE to get into doing this kind of work asap actually so I'm working out a training routine and it appears I just need a demo recorded as well!

1) Marle
2) pole, pilates, ballet, yoga, hip hop + bellydance tribal fusion, hoopdance, poi, double staff
3) I have used everything from secret to mitchum to drysol and it just seemed to irritate my skin a lot so I ditched the aluminum and tried jason brands and they don't work well, tried tom's of maine — no good and finally tried the Thai salt crystal which dosn't help much unless I combine it with lavender or sage essential oil and water misted on top and rub a lot of the salt on. I do like this combination. I find I do not sweat profusely anymore now that I have allowed my sweat glands to do their lypmhatic job.
Although, I am currently working on my own line of personal care items including a natural deodorant that works "out of the box". I read in a book somewhere the anaology, " Trying to prevent the sweat glands from releasing bodily waste is rather like trying to run a car while blocking its exhaust pipe." https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
4) seasonal, it gets really dry and cold in the winter and really hot and humid in the summer

What a great idea, now I'm not so bummed I couldn't get Pleaser's 'Treasure Chest' heel to glam up and instead had to settle for regular clear platforms. I think this is just as cool.

Free Shiva Rea vinyanas from her DVDs for all to try at home, was going to post this too but didn't want to be redundant. Hulu is 100% legal and with commercials for those unawares.

Thanks or the recipes ladies, they look delicious and I plan to try them out. I'm all about clean, healthy and most important conscious eating. Eating conciously meaning knowing how and where your food was grown and it's holistic effect on the body.
EvaRut I think it is vital for you and every other person to know:
Washing your produce does little to remove the pesticides which have been engineered to NOT wash off for rain and irrigation purposes. Much of the pesticides seep into the produce anyway as their skin is just as porous as yours. Not only that, but non-organic goods are largely containing pesticides bred inside the crop itself through the use of genetic bioengineering (to those unfamiliar, please type 'Monsanto' into your search engine). On top of that, even if you do succeed somewhat in washing your produce (vinegar and water soak) you still have the agricultural pesticide runoff into our waterways, resultant soil degradation, superweeds that are bred by the use of pesticides, possible part and parcel of bee colony collapse disorder as well as genetic cross contamination with naturally occurring varieties of produce species.
These are very real issues that most people are too busy in their daily lives to notice. I think it is also important to note that a US 'Food Safety Bill' S510 recently passed that will aim to make it impossible for us to eat food that has not been irradiated, grown without pesticides or biotech genomes in the name of safety. It is equally important to note biotech foods are banned in several countries and the US goverment is hand in hand with the corporation that is responsible for this.
I hate to take a political soapbox here, but most people are completely unaware and I know the ladies here are good at taking a collective stand as consumers for what they believe in.
